Hi everybody,

My name is Henno Gous, and I am a qualified industrial engineer and Drupal web developer from South Africa. I will be moving to Europe with my wife in in March/April 2014 and I'm looking for work. The actual location where I find a job will probably determine where we move to... we're open for suggestions :)

I'm currently finishing my Ph.D in industrial engineering, focussing on innovation management. I have also worked as an internet strategist, business analyst and web developer over the last 6 years and I have extensive knowledge of the Drupal platform.

Have you got a great suggestion for a new and innovative way to use library data but maybe not the technical skills to bring that idea to life? Submit an idea for an application or data mashup to be eligible for this prize. Your idea might then be developed by someone else as an application or mashup as part of Libraryhack. For inspiration have a look at the list of data sets to be made available by the participating libraries and from February 8, submit an idea. You can enter as many times as you like.

I don't want to start an event thread here but still want to give a shout out to the HKDUG. This Saturday, May 2nd, I'm organizing an event called "Hong Kong International Design and Innovation Forum". What if this recombinant process could be automated and scaled to take advantage of the web? The resulting scalable process of recombinant innovation would generate a continuing stream of revenue generating product definitions.
