The Boston sprint is dedicated to upgrading drupal.org's Drupal 5 platform to Drupal 6, in preparation for the redesign. During this week-long sprint at One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) offices in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, we plan to get a working upgrade path for the existing drupal.org databases, port the project infrastructure to Drupal 6, and implement Views, among other issues.
Please see the project issues list and email Susan MacPhee at susanemacphee@gmail.com to volunteer expertise on issues you can help resolve.
In your email, please include your level of time commitment, Drupal experience background, and which tasks you would like to help with.
If you have any questions, please contact Susan.

Read moreHow about a Social Networking BOF (and master strategy session) at DrupalCon2008 Boston?
I am very interested in the state of Social Networking direction for Drupal.
I would also be interested in writing/contributing modules if I knew how they would all fit together.
I propose a Bird-of-a-Feather (BOF) meeting on Social Networking in Drupal at DrupalCon2008 in Boston.
We can get to know all of the people working on Social Networking stuff for Drupal and create a coordinated
plan for making Drupal a top-notch Social Networking platform. (If this plan already exists, please fill me in on it.)
What do you think?

Read moreThe status of DrupalMU and prospects for DrupalCon2008 Boston
I am very interested in DrupalMU and I am interested in learning from your experiences.
I have been working on an Installation Profile for an out-of-the-box community site (http://www.shareduniverse.net).
So here are some questions that someone might be able to answer.
General
- What is the status of DrupalMU?
Installation Profiles
- I think it is characterized not as a contributed module but as an Installation Profile of a bunch of modules. Is that right?
- If so, is DrupalMU going to be a part of Drupal 6? Drupal 7?
DrupalCon Boston 2008 : your help is needed
Drupal Boston 2008 is taking place March 3 to March 6, with a code sprint on March 7 at MIT.
See details here http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/
As you can see from the budget below, the attendance fee does not cover all the costs. http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/drupalcon-budget
Therefore, any form of financial support is appreciated. If you are a Drupal user or a Drupal shop, please discuss this with your manager and find ways to spread around the word, so all the costs are covered.
