Introducción a drush y drush_make - Parte I

Drupal 7 User profile fields

Hej,

How to use a custom table in Views?

I'm developing an auction site where people can bid on an item, which is implemented as a custom node type. So there should be at most a single value (the current bid) per user, per item.

I've tried out the Flag module, in particular with the "fieldable" patch, but it's not working very well and it's not going to get in a real release before the next major version (and the current major version is still in beta). So that's not really an option.

Best Geolocation option for D7?

Hello,

I've been using Geolocation and drupal6 for quite some time (although I don't consider myself an expert at all), first using Location+GMAP, after (with better results) using OL+OL Geocoder. I was quite happy with the coice, since it covered my needs pretty well. But nows it comes Drupal7 and my problems start. Although there's a D7 version of OpenLayers, there isn't of other useful companion modules like openlayers geocoder or Openlayers CCK widget. And the worst is that not only there won't be any D7 version of those modules (see here) but it seems that "OpenLayers CCK has been popular but it's architecturally weak and CCK is not a very good API to build anything serious upon." according to tmcw's words here, who in turn announced that DevelpmentSeed will no longer continue working on drupal and thus, OpenLayers and all related modules. Not only that, he added that "The OpenLayers project seemed like the only option at the time, but it isn't, and it isn't the best option either. OpenLayers is a massive codebase that has gone far too long between rewrites (as in, it has never had one). It makes configuration an unnecessary nightmare, one that the module goes to lengths to patch together.". And that scared me. It scared me specially because I am not a developer and I have to rely on what experts say, which sometimes is contradictory.

Then I read that location module, which was somewhat forgotten seems to be working again and now what seemed to be a bad approach seems to be a better one (better than wkt fields?). Additionally new modules appeared, such as Gelocation which seems to promising but lacks quite a lot of features that OL CCK Widget had (whether its architecture is better or not I do not know). And it confused me. Even more.

Question about Drupal7x

Hey Ladies:
I have a question about passing arguments to block in 7.x. We've got a block view set up to get the latest 3 blog posts by term. We’re using Term ID with depth as the argument and providing the default arg using php code with return arg(1); as the arg.

OG Theme changes

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make the first contribute to this great module for Drupal7.

This is a module that can change not only OG, but the way that drupal is seen.

OG_THEME was recently separated from OG main module http://drupal.org/project/og_theme , because of that there are not many users for now.

If we can add 3 more fields to og_theme:
- LOGO as a image field;
- SLOGAN as a text field;
- EMAIL as a text field.

If we add this 4 fields (Theme, Logo, Slogan e Email), to a 80 code lines module, this will override the site default values on the Organic Groups node.

Looking for Co-founders for Drupal based startup in Vienna

Dear all,

I want to launch a new startup with the objective of developing an enterprise SaaS tool for Asset Management.

I have been testing Drupal7 for the past few months and I believe it makes sense to use it for building this tool, and I am looking for co-founders with Drupal experience (developers and designers).

Please send me a message if you find this interesting and wants to learn more about it...

Regards,

Luiz
