(How to setup IRC)

I have registered an IRC channel for us to use. Join #drupal-phx or visit the Chat with the Drupal Community on IRC page for learning all about IRC and how to set it up.

Having a central spot to communicate in real time will be beneficial and will help our community grow.

Our group will be listed on the regional drupal channel page once the paperwork gets approved.

DrupalPGH is now on IRC. We've officially got #drupal-pgh set up with freenode. This is a great resource for discussions, informal chat, or quick questions.

If you're not on IRC, check out http://drupal.org/irc for info on drupal's presence there.

Hey Twin Cities Drupallers,

I'd like to start our own Twin Cities IRC channel. I've been using #drupal-mpls for a while, but I think it would be a good idea to be more inclusive of the whole area. So, I think using #drupal-tc as the official Twin Cities Drupal IRC channel would be a good idea. I think it'll be especially important to have "high-bandwidth communication" (in the words of Dries) in the time leading up to the DrupalCamp in May.

What do people think? I suppose you can also register your approval by joining the room :-).

So, as I receive the group discussion emails, it's made me wonder if there is any interest in, or if there is already, an openpublish irc room? I looked on freenode, but didn't see anything.

If this doesn't exist:
*Are there enough OP advanced users to support this?
*Are there enough general users to support this?

Personally, I think this would be tremendous. But I am also not the maintainer, etc.

Hi Montana Drupalistas!

IRC is a venerable Internet protocol for real-time text-based communications. Essentially, chatrooms. Ages before Skype, AIM, etc people were using IRC to chat about thousands of topics, and IRC remains very popular today, especially among geeks.

I have created an IRC channel for the use of our local Montana Programmers group, and I think we should use it for Drupal Montana as well. We can help each other with questions/answers, say hi, and alleviate the isolation of working alone for us home-office folks. It's like a virtual water cooler.

If you already know how to use IRC, just join the #mtprogrammers channel on the Freenode network (irc.freenode.net).

Ta kanal uporabimo za on-line srečanja (ko določimo termin) ter za splošno komuniciranje.

Hey, just in case you weren't aware, there's an IRC (group IM) channel specifically for Drupaldephia folks . . .

you can find it through Freenode.net with the moniker #drupaldelphia:
irc://irc.freenode.net/drupaldelphia

you can access it with any IRC client. It's easy if you have Firefox by using Chatzilla

There isn't one for Chrome but you can use a web-based client like Mibbit
