Drupal 8 Contribution this weekend?
Hey -
I was wondering if anyone in the community would be interested in meeting up this weekend to help me (and anyone else) get their hands dirty in Drupal 8? I have a version of Drupal 8 installed (I'm sure it needs to be updated) and I'd really like to get involved and contribute something... but I don't know what I'm doing. :/
I was thinking maybe a coffee house someplace either Saturday or Sunday afternoon?
Let me know if anyone is interested.

Drupal 8 Content Experience: Accessibility Findings
Goal
To conduct accessibility evaluation of Drupal 8 focussed on the content authoring experience (create content and edit content)
Methodology
The study was conducted in July 2013 in two phases:
Phase 1: Evaluation with volunteer Drupal users with accessibility needs. The participants were given the testing script with scenario and were asked to report their feedback
Phase 2: Conduct 3-participant moderated usability study consistent with the testing script (mentioned above).
quiz for drupal 8
I am just wondering if the quiz module will be ported to drupal 8 when finally released hopefully by August, and what should be our expectations (functionalities and performance)?
Thanks

Deep dive analysis of how dates are handled by other systems
After talking with Karen at the Midwest Developer Conference I am very excited to help out working on bringing the date module functionality into Drupal 8. There is a lot of work to do in order for that to happen. We need to:
- Separate the code that can become a Component from the code that needs to be Drupal specific
- Separate the code that needs to be a library (PSR-0) and the stuff that needs to be in the module directory
- Separate the code that should be put into core from the core that will live on as a community-driven module.
Drupal 8 Core Development - 7/19/12 Edition
Feature Freeze is creeping up on D8 faster than you think, so now's a great time to go check out how to help D8 core development initiatives!
Read all about it here: http://drupal.org/community-initiatives/drupal-core
That page will tell you:
- what D8 Initiative owners and contributors are up to
- the most important places you can help right now
- thank yous to special snowflakes who have helped
- general information and links for each initiative
Where to find updates on D8 Development Progress
Though Initiative Owners are doing a fantastic job of keeping up with their individual initiatives, we've recently heard that the community would like more visibility on D8 progress in general. We've been trying to find the right format and we've got something for you to check out! http://drupal.org/community-initiatives/drupal-core
The D8 team of Initiative Owners and its supporters want to make it easier for you to find the most important issues to work on, so we've put together a summary page that we'll be updating it every two weeks, and more frequently on an as-needed basis.
