Check for value in filefield
Is there a way to check if a file or files have been uploaded in a content type? I'm trying to determined if a picture has been uploaded.
I have tried to check if a filefield contains a value, but I am getting an error message that my argument #2 is not an array in the cck content.rules.Inc file.
Any hints? How can I do that with php?

Hi all,
I have a little dilemma that I need some help on. I am building a site that allows anonymous users to upload three files during the account creation process. This is enabled through content profile and uses the filefield to upload the file. The account is then blocked pending review from a manager of the site via Drupals default account creation settings.
Since the user that uploads the file(s) does not yet exist in the system by the time the file(s) are uploaded, the file(s) are created under user 0. I am using the following filefield path settings: profile/[uid]/audio.

Hi all,
This is to fulfill a fairly urgent client need, so if I don't get feedback in the next 12 hours or so I'm going to build this anyway, but whether I release it or not depends on feedback here. I can't find anything like it, but if anyone can think of a smarter way to achieve this with existing contrib, let me know. Here's what my client needs:
- "Archived" in this context means moved to another physical location to free disk space
- We want the ability to specify either a date or a time period after which files in a specific file field should be archived
Custom Thumbnails in Embedded Media Field during D6 Port
Currently, Embedded Media Field has Embedded Thumbnail, which allows editors to override the thumbnails provided by third party providers. I originally just copied some code from Image Field to handle it, after toying with (and rejecting) the idea of creating some sort of generic image handling api to help modules needing the functionality.

Hi, I'm looking to add some admin-supplied video and can not get it to playback smoothly. I don't know much at all about video, so please excuse my awkward terminology and foolish assumptions.
The Drupal:
• 6.4
• JW FLV Media Player 4.1
• Via Filefield + jQuery
The Media:
• High-quality DVD Video
• Half a dozen vids + a dozen audio tracks
• Length is about 4 minutes each
The Encoding:

Hey all...
In this comment I mentioned that I'd like to demo how to podcast (audio or video) using a new CCK/Views method for Drupal 6. You can check out a video podcast on this method now, if you're interested. I'm hoping lots of people find that this method of podcasting makes sense and start to go this route.
Working on a migration path from video module to filefield
I'm working on a migration path from the video module to the filefield module (using jQuery Media for playback). In terms of database language, I'm a Filemaker hack so I'm seriously struggling with many aspects of mysql, but I think I have laid out a good plan for attack and have a really good starting point to work from. I'm basically adapting a migration script that Moshe built for us at CCTV to migrate from the Image module to Imagefield.
Read moreThe future of the asset module
I've been doing some thinking about the future of the asset module. First of all, I'm completely dedicated to bringing it to Drupal 6 and beyond. What is not sure however is in which form it will move forward. With the improved hook_form and specifically with filefield and emfield tying into the youtube api, flvmediaplayer, the new media player et al, I certainly don't want to duplicate efforts. The asset module itself is quite a big project and maintaining it requires a lot of my time.
That's why I've been thinking lately of stripping the asset module down to the asset wizard: leaving the uploading of files to the *field modules (having the admin decide which modules he prefers and what type of files he needs) and managing them with the asset wizard. The asset wizard could be taken so much further if it could get all the attention it deserves. One thing I could use help on is the interface from a usability perspective: both on the asset wizard itself and on how to tie it in the different fields (filefield, emfield, ...) and editors (TinyMCE, WYSIWYG, ...). Everything is welcome: from concepts and wireframes to mock-ups and patches.
How do you want to handle the files and embedded media that have been already been imported by media mover, uploaded by filefield or integrated by emfield?
Read moreFilefield + jQuery Media Screencast
Following on the heels of a great thread, I put together a screencast using the CCK Filefield module as a container for video media files and then applying the jQuery Media module to play back those media files in the appropriate player/method. I've been looking for a replacement for the video.module for some time and I wanted to put this recipe under a microscope. Check it out the screenie, feel free to drop me a line if you loved or hated it.
