Lafayette / Purdue Meetup

Start:
2009-02-26 04:00 - 07:30 America/Indiana/Indianapolis
Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

Hi All. Our first group will be meeting at the WHTR building (room 212) at Purdue University. You can park in the Marsteller Street Parking Garage for free. The walk from the garage to the building is about 5min.

Please let the group know you are coming by using the "sign up" button below. You must be logged in to see this sign up button.

4pm-5pm
The first hour will be for Purdue staff/faculty attendees. You are more than welcome to attend, but the first meeting will focus on their needs more. The first meeting will be a "what do you want to know about / do with Drupal". I have received some feedback already that attendees would like to cover: Drupal for courses, theming views and deploying Ubercart are of interests.

5pm to 5:30pm
Community and Purdue attendees will have Pizza and Drinks. Contributions are welcome. You can continue to eating after 5:30, if you like.

5:30pm to 7:30pm
We will discuss Drupal in general, what's new, how others are using Drupal, their experience level and what they would like to cover in the following meetups. The next Drupal meetup we will have an agenda based on feedback given. If you provide some feedback before the first meetup I will try to cover your requests in the meeting.
This time slot is for both Community and Purdue attendees, although the focus will be for the Community attendees.

Drupal Case Study Show-And-Tell.

The topic of this meetup has been under discussion and it has been decided that we will have a Drupal show-and-tell session! Come and bring something Drupal-related. Many of us are working on different aspects of Drupal, finding different ways to accomplish what we need with the different websites that we are creating. This session will allow us to trade ideas as well as get new ones when we see what others are doing. So this has turned into less of a tutorial meetup and into an open house of ideas.

Drupal Indy Meetup: January 12

Start:
2009-01-12 18:00 - 20:00 America/Indiana/Indianapolis
Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

Hey Indy Drupalers! We did a vote on the next meetup and January 12 won the majority. We're going to be discussing using CVS for Drupal updates and meeting at Promethius Consulting. If you would like to get in on this and the potential of a CVS vs. SVN discussion, sign up!! There will also be other topics up for discussion. Last meetup, we had 2 "rookie Drupal presenters" start discussions on Theming with Zen and local XAMPP setup. It seemed to get some really good response. Post here if you have an idea for discussion, or would like to take a crack at presenting on a topic.

Happy New Year!!

OK, I'm a month and a few days early with the Happy New Year.
Here's the scoop.
Monday Dec 1st will be the only meeting in December. It's too crazy of a month to try and squeeze a second one in.
For January let's start off with a meeting on Monday the 5th. Responses to the polls I will be posting will determine where we go from there.
As mentioned, I will posting some polls to see what the group members think about meeting schedules and content.
I know I spend a lot of time on here trying to gauge the group and feel it out and push it along...
Here's why:::
