Feature Event: Entity Reference

In this meeting we'll look at entity references, how they're useful and how to set up a simple example.

We realize that having a physical meeting in Ames might not be accessible for some people in the Des Moines area. We now have a second location set up at Webpec in Urbandale. We'll attempt to link with Google hangouts.

You may have heard a lot about the new Configuration Management system in Drupal 8. In this presentation I will talk about what it is, what problems it's suppose to solve and a little bit on how to use it.

Feature Event: Introduction to Display Suite

The Display Suite is a powerful module that creates a UI for laying out fields at the node level. We'll explore the basics of what Display Suite is, and a walk through a real use case as an example. It's a great tool for site-builders, designers, themers, and front-end developers. Content is applicable for Drupal 7 and 8.

The CIDUG meeting for November has been cancelled.

Please remember that anyone is welcome to give a presentation at CIDUG. If you are working on something interesting, exploring a new concept, or just put up your first Drupal 8 site that qualifies as something to share. Case studies, deep dives, themey breakthroughs...they are all welcome.

If you would like to present, please contact one of the organizers and you'll be on the agenda faster than you can say "version control."

Feature Presentation: Workflows in Drupal 8

John will present on the newly added Workflows module in Drupal 8.4.0. What can you do with this module? What does it provide and not provide? How is it different from the venerable Workflow module or State Machine?

John and Sarah will present on the much hyped Paragraphs module. We'll explore the concept behind the module, and how it can be used.
