Incomplete project needs taking over

Hey fellow Drupalers,

Fairly long time Drupaler, fairly new Dad here. I've been trying to find the time outside of work and juggling babies to finish a project I'd been pulled into, however I just plain don't have the time. If I'm not at my 9-5 job I'm juggling babies to where I have no focussed time for project work.

So, I'm looking for people to take over a project that's largely complete but not quite there yet.

Workshop: Horizontally Scaling Drupal (Aegir/Strong Arm/Features/Drush)

Start:
2010-11-17 10:00 - 18:00 Australia/Sydney
Organizers:
Event type:
Training (free or commercial)

Hey all

We're holding a workshop with Dave Hall (skwashd) on the 17th of this month in Sydney. A brief outline is:

As people have to manage an increasing number of sites. It is pretty easy to manage 5 or 10 sites, but how do you manage 20, 200 or even 2,000 sites?

During the workshop we will demonstrate some of the tools and techniques used to build, deploy and manage large scale production sites. Each of the 6 sessions will focus on a particular tool and how to use it. The sessions will be hands on with users using the tools to achieve goals.

IE - left nav images crowding and then sometimes pages won't load at all in IE

I wonder if someone could give me some local advice about IE? I've been running a simple drupal site for a couple of years, but having trouble with this.

I've optimized my css stylesheets, and have IE Unlimited CSS Loader enabled and yet still having some problems.

I've looked extensively on drupal.org and yet can't seem to come up with a simple operating fix....

so since I'm Sydney based thought I'd ask locally. What's the best production site solution?

thanks

Bob

Help with image gallery in a block

Hi all, by way of intro I have been sitting on the side of this group for a month or two now watching for some events to attend to build my knowledge of Drupal. I am a long time web developer and web manager in Brisbane (currently working in a customer experience management role) and have only recently discovered Drupal, but I think it's very exciting as a platform for building complex sites.

Drupal Consulting and Audits

If you're running an enterprise Drupal Project or a Drupal Development Platform, chances are you'll need someone to audit your development and/or production environment to make sure you're running an optimal setup. Without an independent audit, you could be exposing your project to unnecessary risks and spending more money than you need to.

So as well as high quality software development, I am offering these consulting services to my clients:

  • Audit Drupal Code Bases & Quality Control
  • Manage Development Teams (remote or in-house)
  • APIs, Documentation, Knowledge Management

AGLS Meta Data module released

We've just released the first version of the AGLS Meta Data module to Drupal.org at http://drupal.org/project/agls. This emerged out of our current work with the Australian Law Reform Commission, and our other state and federal clients who are using Drupal.

If you're building an Australian Government website using Drupal, chances are you'll need to comply with the AGLS Metadata Standard (http://www.agls.gov.au/). This module extends the Nodewords module to incorporate the AGLS requirements, without the need for any hacks or workarounds.
