We're just compiling a list of Australian Universities using Drupal, and are sure to not know about a lot. If you know of any, please list them in reply to this thread.
Cheers!

I am doing some pro bono work for a not-for-profit club located in Sydney, which is struggling to avoid closure after some very serious recent mismanagement.
Club XYZ need to set up a shopping cart for selling tickets to attend dinner + screenings at Club XYZ of the Rugby World Club matches, which start in NZ on 9-sep-2011. They need the income from this to help get their head securely above water again.

Wondering if anyone has experience of using Drupal 7 with a Microsoft SQL database (rather than MySQL)
The organisation I'm working for prefers Microsoft SQL database for integration issues with other systems.
Would appreciate hearing any other experiences of this type of implementation

Read moreDrupal Training in Australia
This is a page where I thoguht we could list all the people who are providing training for Drupal.
Maybe Just a brief line on;
+ who you are
+ what you offer
+ how people can find you aka website link etc
Hoping this to serve as a place for new Drupal people to come to find training to help them learn more Drupal skills, also current Drupalistas to update their skill-set maybe from Drupal 6 to 7, and for companies looking to take on Drupal as their CMS and wanting to update the development team.

Hi All, my clients have always been at the lower end of the scale, tens to hundreds of users (not thousands), usually only peaks of a dozen or so concurrent users. So I have been very successfully using very cheap US based shared hosting plans. Mainly justhost.com and dreamhost.com
I have had some downtime occasionally, but it has been shortlived, client have not noticed for the most part (usually happens at peak times in US, which is middle of night here in Aus.), and in the end, you get what you pay for - and I have not paid much at all, so have been happy.
Government and Tourism related websites using Drupal and or Open Source
Hey guys
Trying to get an internal tender up in the department I work for to move away from Mysource Matrix to a more open source CMS and system. Our IT guys are throwing up a number of road blocks mostly around the misconception that open source isn't used by governments and we should go for a proprietary solution.
I kinda need a list asap and I have already looked at http://groups.drupal.org/node/19885
I need to know what websites people have done with drupal or open source for Government and for Tourism related businesses, especially so if you have worked with ATDW feeds.

Read moreAnyone used Location module for Australian proximity searches?
Does anyone have any firsthand advice or experience in using Location module for Australian locations? I have client that is looking for functionality including geo locating nodes, and then finding specific nodes within x km of user/other node. Most likely would use post code as a primary location mechanism.
My trawling of d.o. Suggests Location module should assist, and appears very popular.
Any experiences or alternatives for Australian context?
