Q: Can I relicence a BSD project to GPL, so as to host it on D.O CVS?
Hello,
I am working on a base-theme yui-grids-framework.
First of all: there is such a project on D.o. already, but that one is a) dead, and b) suffering from the same thing I want to solve.
YUI grids is dristributed under BSD. From my tiny bit of legal knowledge, I recall that BSD can be relicenced as GPL.
In that case, I can simply do so, and then upload the results to Drupal.org CVS.

Adobe teamed up with Google and Yahoo! to "enhance the searchability of SWF content by helping their spiders playback SWFs in the Flash Player runtime. The project runs SWF files within web spiders and allows all contents within a SWF file to be read by both major search engines. The cool part is that this also covers dynamic data loaded in from requests to a server, these are typically ignored in both AJAX and SWF applications.

Well, I just found about this group (and groups.drupal.org) today, and I've been using Drupal for over a year! I see this group for SEO has 59 subscribers, and yet I hadn't seen any posts from any of you on seo in the main drupal forums. Why is that? If I had seen mention of this before, I would have joined as soon as I found out - and there are questions that people are asking all the time about SEO in the main forums that deserve answers. I've been trying to answer all the ones that I can find.
I posted twice in the last month in the main forums to solicit input regarding an article I wrote on my web site: How to Optimize a Drupal web site for Google and other Search Engine Crawlers. I was surprised to find I didn't get a shred of feedback. The post has been viewed almost 1,200 times on my site and I've not gotten any feedback there either.
