Drupal

I started to use Drupal about 14 weeks 3 days ago as depicted in my account in Drupal.org. I found our Pinoy group because of this post.

I join because I want to keep in touch with people of my blood. I am not an IT professional and I don't have any proper training in website development. I started to build static pages last October 2007 in free hosting as a hobby, but this hobby turns into passion. My stay at free hosting gave me some opportunities to learn the basic HTML and some CSS. Being my passion, I go with the paid hosting at Yahoo! in November 2007 then run my static pages with my very own domain. How proud am I with my own domain.

Oskar me pidió que converse del tema con el grupo en #drupal-es. Para los que recién se apuntan les comento que es un ambicioso proyecto que se está cocinando en el IRC y el llamado de colaboración esta abierto para todos.

We have finally gone live with our redesign of the Georgia Podcast Network! For a rundown of what's new from an end user standpoint, check out our announcement blog post.

GAPN is based on Drupal 5.7, and makes heavy use of the following modules: CCK, Views, Workflow-ng, FeedAPI, ImageCache, Usernode, Bio, Fivestar, and Voting API. That's not a full list, but the site leans on those the most.

Additionally, we built a custom theme and wrote several custom modules to get things working just the way we wanted them to. In writing these modules, we built custom Drupal integration for getID3, SWFUpload, and the JW Media Player.

Hiện tại mình đang muốn trang chủ mình tích hợp 1 số tin tức từ diễn đàn bên ngoài Drupal (ví dụ VBB) nên cần query trực tiếp VBB database rồi hiển thị tại trang chủ Drupal

Tuy vậy, nếu query database và sử dụng print() ra ngay tại page.tpl.php thì sẽ bị lỗi font tiếng Việt

Ví dụ

$result = mysql_query ("SELECT id, title FROM VBB data");
$row = mysql_fetch_array($result);
.......
print ($row["title"]); ---> sẽ bị lỗi với tiếng Việt

These are two new African projects that I am about to sign off . The first is self-descriptive and it is the online edition of a magazine named IT Business in Africa which is meant to be a meeting hub for CEOs, CIOs and all ICT professionals in Africa . The second is a public appraisal website for Nigerian leaders.

Hi all,

I have been using Drupal for about 6 months on my own site and now having a real desire to learn how to code in Drupal. I'm an application developer in real life, but never had to use PHP.

I'm wondering if anyone would like to walk down this path with me. I thought it would be more fun to do this as a team rather than by myself.
We can discuss details like when and how often we are going to meet if there is enough interest in such a "learning" group.

Please reply to this post if you are interested, and feel free to post any ideas you may have.
