Another hello from the Science Museum of Minnesota

Hi all -

My name is Eric and I'm the Electronic Marketing Coordinator for the Science Museum of Minnesota. My main responsibility is the design and maintenance of the public museum website - www.smm.org. I've only been using Drupal for a few months, but am working on a complete overhaul of the museum website - which is built in Drupal. Thanks to all of Bryan Kennedy's great help (and a wonderful summer intern), it's not as scary of a project as I originally thought!

That's about it for now. I'm looking forward to learning a lo

Hello hello from the Science Museum of Minnesota

Hey everybody,

I thought I should say hi as a long time (well 2 years and come change) Drupal developer. I an exhibit developer at the Science Museum of Minnesota primarily using Drupal to drive our Science Buzz website and as a CMS for digital displays within our museum. I am excited to see more involvement with Drupal here in the Twin Cities.

Although I am not affiliated with them in any way I know at least one other local web resource, Twin Cities Daily Planet uses Drupal for their sites. Well, I lo

Introduction...

Hi, folks!

My name's Angie and I work for Lullabot, a Drupal consulting firm. I've been involved in the Drupal community for a little over a year, and originally came because I was accepted as a Google Summer of Code student. I help out in areas such as documentation, reviewing/testing core patches, have done quite a bit of work with Organic Groups, and so on.

I'm not actually anywhere near the Twin Cities (I live in Montreal), but my family lives in Rochester, so I wanted to subscribe to this group in case there's something happening when I'm home for holidays and that. :)

Well then, I guess I'd better introduce myself as well

I run a small consulting firm - http://www.cruiskeenconsulting.com - here in Menomonie, WI. It's primarily doing Drupal web site development, with a little bit of general sys admin consulting thrown into the bag. I've been a UNIX admin for - um - longer than I want to think about. and have worked at places like FERMILAB, Honeywell, Collective Technologies, and several others.

Anyway, I've been doing some Drupal development for the past 8 months or so, and recently finished the first release of the Cedar Cultural Center's new web site.

I'm interested in working with nonprofits, politics (one of my pet projects is http://www.uppitywis.org) and small businesses on Drupal sites. Although I'm in Wisconsin, this part of Wisconsin is as much an adjunct of the Twin Cities as anything else, and I've worked with groups in the Twin Cities.

Intro, plus a few thoughts and questions

Thanks, Steve, for taking the lead on starting this group.

It was a great relief to me to find such a wide-ranging and enthusiastic group of drupal users, developers and hosts at the NTEN happy hour-- especially since neither Drupal, CMS, not even websites were mentioned as topics for the gathering. Meeting you and the others bolstered my belief that a users group here in the Twin Cities would be beneficial. Let's use this Drupal Group to discuss how best to start and maintain one.

For starters, let me briefly introduce my interest in Drupal/this group (perhaps more personal, longer profiles can be part of another section of this group?):
