The Drupal Ladder is an initiative aimed at raising the number of drupal.org users who contribute to the Drupal core. We're doing two types of events to raise this percentage: Learn Sprints, where we work through lessons; and Issue Sprints, where we work on core Drupal issues.

Our regular meetup is the third Tuesday of every month - currently rotating between ICF and Bixal in Fairfax. Join us for our monthly Drupal NoVA meetup!

We'll start with some socializing, do a round of intros, and have two presentations:

• John Franklin from Sentai Digital will discuss workflows using Git
• Jared Smith from Blue Host will present and demo Drupal Commerce

Then we'll do some more socializing.

Views is an important module in Drupal and it can integrate with CiviCRM to show information in CiviCRM on public and private pages within your site. During this two hour training you will learn how to:

• Create a searchable member directory
• Show a list of upcoming events
• Create a donor, sponsor or board listings
• Show different information based on filters based on CiviCRM fields

Our regular meetup is the second Monday of every month at Stetson's on U St. Join us for a round of lightning talks and plenty of socializing. This is a pretty casual event: everyone is welcome, and by no means do you need to look professional!

We don't have a set schedule, but just so you know what to expect, this is more or less how things tend to go:

Hang out for a bit and meet new people
A few quick lightning talks and any announcements
"Stump the expert" panel, where we discuss "how would I do this in Drupal?"-type questions

The Environmental Protection Agency’s presence at EPA.gov is constantly growing and evolving. A year ago, their technology platform was closed and inflexible. They needed a new platform and process for migrating their legions of websites to a new Content Management System.

In this webinar, we examine the challenges and rewards we uncovered while using Drupal to bring EPA’s legacy websites into the modern, mobile age. Learn how Forum One and EPA accommodated hundreds of non-technical content authors with unconventional approaches to responsive design, editorial workflows, and advanced layouts.

Government projects often bring additional challenges such as fixed budgets and tight schedules. Members of EPA’s team will be on hand to share how an Agile Scrum process worked well within these constraints.

When?

Elections will be held from September 15, 2013 through September 19, 2013. During this period, you can review and comment on candidate profiles on association.drupal.org and engage all candidates through posting to the Drupal Association group.

Who can vote?

Voting is open to all individuals who have a Drupal.org account by the time nominations open and who have logged in at least once in the past year. These individuals' accounts will be added to the voters list on association.drupal.org and they will have access to the voting.
