Brighton CommerceCamp Inaugural Meetup
Problem/Motivation
- We want more people to use Drupal.
- We want to run another DrupalCamp in Brighton.
- There seems to be a concentration of Drupal Commerce talent in the Brighton Area
Proposed resolution
- There have been quite a few DrupalCamps in the UK of recent - a focused camp, like a Drupal CommerceCamp - would provide something different & good for the community.

Event planning - some kind of commerce / kickstart2 event?
Hi,
For a while now we've been doing our regular 3rd Monday pub meetups and 1st Monday 'Drupal Give' sessions where we work on issues and I've been talking about the need to diversify and grow the events and club.
I'm currently working on a commerce project and keep reading issues from Kevin, Richard, and Guy - we do seem to have a little enclave of Drupal Commerce talent here so I'm thinking some kind of 'eCommerce' 'Commerce Online' event with perhaps 2 or 3 talks, maybe afternoon/evening or lunch event targeted at Brighton Digital Agencies & end-users.
Discuss ;)

Should we swap tonight's pub meet to Drupal England & Wales Google Hangout?
Hi Brighton Drupalers,
Tonight in Manchester there is the first in a series of meetings being held about a Drupal England & Wales Association. Tonight is also our Drupal Brighton March Beer & Chat:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/287588
If people wish, we could instead stay in theskiff (newskiff/basketmakers side as BrightonPHP in other side) and watch the google hangout of the meeting, it's 6.30pm-9pm. I suggest we have our mic off and text questions / only put mic on when asked ;)

Filter views by comparing two fields?
Hi,
I have a content type with two date fields both with start and end dates..
I need to create a view filter that if the start date and time of fieldA is more than 15 minutes before or after the start date and time of FieldB then show it in the view..
Obviously views can compare dates to "now" or now relative to a time period but I can't see a way for views to filter based on the comparison of the value of two fields..
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks..

Recently BrightonPHP set up and meet at theskiff on the 3rd Monday of each month when our Drupal group is just around the corner having our monthly beer meetup!
We thought this month we would join forces and both meet up at theskiff, and instead of having one talk we would all do 5/10 mins each about something we do in PHP and/or Drupal.

Brighton Drupal Pub meetup a.k.a. BAD Ass Xmas Drinkies!
Every third Monday we meet at The Eagle pub in North Laine, Brighton.
It's fairly simple, we drink and talk Drupal. This time Xmas is around the corner, so there may be more drinking, and more talking Drupal than usual.
See you there ;)

Drupal Brighton Drinks - BADCamp debrief + BADCampUKIII planning kick-off meeting
3rd Monday is the usual Drupal Drinks meetup @ The Eagle, North Laine, Brighton.
This month we'll be debriefing BADCamp which I've just been to in Berkeley, California. We of course nicked their brand in order to kick off our Brighton events... and for a reason - BADCamp is AWESOME!!!
At our last meeting kindly hosted by miggle, we worked out a date around May, before DrupalCon Portland (May 20-24) so those doing a talk in Portland could use it as practice, and it fits nicely in with other UK camps, and is roughly half-way between DrupalCon Europes.
What I learned from BADCamp is:
Read moreGoogle hangout for BadAss
I sat in on a Google Hangout last night and the format of that I thought might work well for BadAss.
For example:-
- We fix a time each week - say 5pm Fridays - and have a hangout for about 30 mins
- We have various reps from BadAss contributing to a panel of 3-4 each week (any more I think it gets too fragmented)
- We pick a topic each week to discuss - which we publicise the week before
- We maybe have a round robin of some cool stuff we learnt in the week
- We take any questions
Any part time contract opportunities around?
Just coming to the end of a project and will be twiddling my thumbs in a couple of weeks. Anyone know of any Senior Drupal developer contract opportunities on the horizon that could fit into 2-3 days a week?
Figured there's no harm in asking ;)
