Hi all,
As you've no doubt seen I managed to make some time last week to get the http://BADCampUK.net site up and running with session submissions and tickets. Apart from that, I've booked http://theskiff.org and asked the Student Room if they are able to let us use their offices on the Saturday for another session room and a couple of spaces for BoF sessions, which would be nice.

BAD Ass Drupal Weekender - September 14/15/16 2012
After 80+ people turned up in April for BADCampUK we decided it'd be a cool thing to have another event during this year's Brighton Digital Festival! Free & low-cost training on Friday, sessions on Saturday, and BarCamp-style on Sunday.
The theme this year is "From Zero to Drupalero in one BAD Ass weekend" and the focus is on Brighton's Digital Media sector, so if you have suitable sessions get preparing!

Raphael.js
Anyone in this group have any experience of using Raphael.js with D7?
I see there's a module for it to handle basic stuff like making the library available to Drupal but I can't get the damned thing to work:

The Brighton Digital Festival (http://2012.brightondigitalfestival.co.uk/) is on again this year and have extended deadline for entries for a week.
I'd previously tweeted that we were going to do it on the weekend of 21/22/23 September as this was in line with the next Drupal Global Training Days (we missed the first as I was in Portland) but I've since found out that the GTD is actually 14th - not sure if that was changed recently or I read the wrong thing.

There are a lot of people who would like to contribute to Drupal core, but they’re not sure how, they don’t feel qualified, and the time commitment feels prohibitive. Meanwhile, as Drupal’s code base becomes more complex, the learning curve for contributing to Drupal core gets steeper.

In the pub on Sunday with a couple of devs, we were thinking it might be interesting to discuss some other CMSs with specific regards to how we might be able to "sell" Drupal to people who are already using those systems, and how we would be able implement specific features / see if there are any gaps in Drupal etc.

London Drupal Beer and Chat for 30th April 2012
Hot on the heels of Drupal for Government is another chance for some beer and drupal. This time there is no pizza and no presentations but there will be 60+ drupalers talking about all things web, drupal, business, sysadmin and more.
The format is simple: come down any time between 7pm - 11pm, get a name badge, get a beverage (there is a wide selection of beers, ales, lagers and soft drinks) and start talking. We're a friendly bunch and conversation ranges from newbie drupal questions through to devops for extremely large sites.
