e-Commerce Module

Hi,
I am running an online store with ecommerce, but like to use it also for customers that go to our offices. It will be easy for a user with admin privileges to add a new user to the site (with the data provided by the customer), and even to add an address to its addressbook.

My cuestion is, ¿is there a way to add an order to that user from the admin account?. I know that login as that user will allow to add orders directly, but it would be complicated loggin/logout from admin to other users all the time.

¿is it possible to do this directly from the admin account?

I am a new user, looking to setup a website to sell printer consumable products.

I have setup Drupal 5.3 and installed e-commerce 3.4 & enabled Paypal to process payments.

Would like some insight! - (hope to contribute as I build up skills)

1. Is there a tutorial/guide to setting up an e-commerce site?

2. I seem to be able to input product, product details & price,

I need to know how?? to group & subgroup the products.

My products would be grouped under 6-12 Brand Catagories, Each Brand would have a few sub catagories, the product/s would be under this.

I had a customer that required PayPal Express, and has kindly sponsored the implementation of PayPal express into the system. It still requires some work like getting addresses, but it working and allowing the collection of the money before the transaction is created. I need to also do things like add an icon to the cart view so that you can select express right from there.

We do not yet support PayPal Pro, but if some people are wanting to sponsor this development for v4.x then any offers will be welcome.

I have put in a bit of work on v4. I have re-jigged the search for transactions so that it is fairly generic and I can use it for anything. I have also created a receipts search which allows you to search on receipts.

Since this is a fairly big update I am going to put out a new alpha once I have got this complete. So if you have anything for the next alpha, let me know sooner rather than later.

I'm building a computer web-shop, where the customer should be able to choose some configuration options, such as video card, disk size, ... The options should be shown as checkboxes, and there should be an update price button. Ideally, this would be some kind of javascript/jquery/ajax function, but I'll be very happy with a working button.

I've been looking into some e-commerce modules for drupal to achieve this, but I never get there all the way. My findings:

I'm wondering how much work I'm looking at, to implement the following:

• customer customizes product by entering a Name and Phone Number. (these need to be different from the actual customer billing/shipping info) So far, I've only seen select-list options
• customer uploads a file that is a list (xls, txt, csv, etc.) at checkout, or attached to the product they've selected.
• shipping rates tiered by quantity. (1-20 = $5.00, 21-30 = $6.00, etc.)

I've tinkered with ecommerce for a bit, going through the tutorial at drupalecommerce.org, but I haven't found ways to do these requested things yet. I would gratefully appreciate any tips you might have on how to implement these.

I'm using Drupal 5.3 and ecommerce 5.x-3.4. Would 4.0 alpha do better for me?

I have a group of artists that are promoted by one manager. I want them to sign up on the manager's site (a drupal core site) and be able to create their own music stores (upon getting the right permissions).

These individual stores will be selling downloads (music, videos, screen savers) all media will have a preview, (audio & video with a 1 min clip; screen savers with a thumbnail)

Each artist will have their own paypal or payment gateway associated with their store, and a subdomain or url like website.com/artistname or artistname.website.com

It is here. Lots of bug fixes a few new features.

I think there will be 1 more alpha and then we will get into the beta's

There is still some payment gateways that need to be updated. and some other modules that have been broken. Also I have a list of TODO's and FIXME's all through the code that also needs to be fixed.

Hello All,

Have been developing a payment module for old V3 , came to a stop becuase of need to make a deposit/ wallet solution. Then Gordon suggested to use V4 for the Job.

Now I break my head to find answers about the new stuff exist in v4 , such as ec_receipt instead of payment , allocation , prodcut features and such. I have also read that the new system allow transaction or use of receipt for one time payment instead of the shoping cart or better yet independent of the shoping cart.

I have no clue where to start and after doing alot of searches with no answer I am posting this.
