November Tampa Meetup
The 15th meetup for the Tampa Bay Drupal Users Group is this Thursday, November 3rd @ 6pm.
This month's meeting will cover Panels, and will be taught by Willow from WUSF as she explains how they use it and other useful examples for this great module. As always, there will be time at the end to discuss Drupal questions and general Drupal knowledge sharing :)

Brevard Meetup - Diving into Acquia Commons
Join us on Monday evening, November 7 at 6:30pm for the first installment of the Brevard Drupal Meetup Series.
The meetup will take place at The Shamrock Room in Cocoa Village. For those of you familiar with Cocoa Village, The Shamrock Room is owned by, and directly above, Ryan's Pizza. There will be no charge for us to use the room, but I did promise that we'll buy food and drinks and tip well.
The speaker will be Ben Hosmer from Radarearth.com and he'll be giving a demonstration of Acquia Commons, a powerful new-ish Drupal distribution for social business software. Ben will take you through the main features of Commons as well as demonstrate a Commons site that he is involved with. You're guaranteed to leave motivated to go out and build a Commons site for yourself and/or a (present or future) client.

Chris Parsons (a.k.a. @chillin411) will be presenting "Using Gmap with Views". Chris will have a walk through of using Gmap and views to build a store locator, which could be used for a variety of things.

Help for a module dev noob!
I've jumped in the deep end of module dev by trying to hack a contrib module. I've learned a lot by dissecting almost every line of code. The module (tablefield) basically just creates a new CCK type and widget of type table so you can have a grid of data within a node. Pretty simple, it allows you to import a CSV file and has a button to rebuild the table adding either rows or columns. I've added a new button to swap the bottom row (when you add a new row it creates a blank at the bottom) to the second row (1st row is always the header).
