Hi all,
I'm trying to find an example or a best practice for downloading a file/node from a D7 module I'm developing. I create a node, based upon input provided by the user. Once the node is saved, I want to give the user an option to download the file. The option does not have to be on the node edit/view page. I would like to perform this via the D7 api. Can anyone point me in the right direction. There is no clear cut example or discussion that I could find.
Thanks,
Arnold

Jen showed the editable fields module. Roland discussed Ubercart and the new Drupal Commerce for D7.

Hey everybody,
I'd like to schedule the next Brevard meetup for Thursday, August 18th. I realize this is one week later than normal - hope this isn't a big inconvenience.
Ben Hosmer and I had discussed a potential topic for the meetup. Ben: if you can chime in to confirm what we discussed (and that you can make it), then we should be good to go to make it official.
Thanks,
-mike
Gainesville Drupal Users Group Thursday 8/11 6pm
The Gainesville Drupal Users Group will be meeting tomorrow (2nd Thurs each month) at the downtown Alachua County Library. The meeting will be held in the foundation room 6pm-8pm.
This week, we’ll do a bit of discussion on the Display Suite module (and suite of modules), and we’ll also continue working on www.GatorDUG.org... We made some great progress last month, but still need to clean up some of the node pages, etc. Register today at www.GatorDUG.org/user!
Of course everyone is welcome to show up (from newbies to ninjas)!
Read moreViews Cycle Null Issue
I am using Views Cycle to generate a news feed on http://msvehicles.com. I used the same exact setup on another site without issue. On this site, for some reason, the articles which are used as records in the view generate a null value. It seems as though only the new articles posted are affected.
I compared the content placed in the new articles with ones that did not have that problem but I can seem to figure out why the new articles break the view. It offsets an image and leaves the word "null" instead of the article title on the right side of the feed like it is supposed to.

I would highly encourage everyone to sign-up as soon as possible - we have to cap attendance due to venue constraints, and the previous two years have sold out weeks in advance.

I'm finding that maintaining Drupal and LAMP are sometimes little beyond my abilities and would like to find a consulting resource. Before I just start picking names from a Google search or the listing on Drupal.org I thought I would see if there are companies (or a person) locally that anyone could recommend? Of course any recommendation would be appreciated.

Read moreUbercart and PayPal
Hey fellow Drupalers -
I have a quick question on using PayPal with Ubercart (or Drupal Commerce):
- I have both Drupal 6 sites (Ubercart) and Drupal 7 (Ubercart or Drupal Commerce) sites that need shopping cart integration
- Do I need to have the PayPal $30 a month merchant account to integrate using the API? Or can I integrate with the "free" PayPal account?
- Are any of you using PayPal currently with UC/DC and can you provide me your feedback as to how well it works? (as opposed to Google Checkout, etc.)
Thanks, all!
