Hi Guys,
After the successful Drupal event on 14Th Oct, We are planning to have a meetup to hack Drupal Omega theme framework. We will be having some Drupal theming expert with us, so everyone of us can go through the omega theme code and documentation, and come prepared with queries, doubts etc and when we meet we will discuss them and share our knowledge. After we understand the omega framework, we will do small tweak the theme by tweaking the code. Idea is to understand the theme codebase, help those who want to begin the theming and contribute to theming.

India Meetup Database
Hi everyone!
As discussed on the IRC meet, I started up an India meetup database. This is a simple tracker for us to measure the growth of the Indian Drupal community. Just getting a sense of how big we are, and how we're growing (or not) will help plan out the future IMHO.
The link is here, it is open to edits from anyone: http://bit.ly/drupal-india-db
I'd like you all to enter some retroactive data if you have it, at least for the major events. Could you put in the awesome DrupalCamps you all organized when I was visiting with Dries last year?
Thanks!
Jacob
Help me understand these requests for new regional India groups
Hello people from the India community. I would like to aks you for some help. As you maybe know, people can apply to start a new regional or working group here on groups.drupal.org. I am one of the admins who review these proposed new groups and either approve or deny them or ask for more info.
I have difficulty evaluating this list of regional groups from India. A simple wikipedia search tells me that most of these areas easily has (much) more than 1 million people, but the group descriptions and motivations are very short and very general.

*Drupal Camp Delhi 2012* announced :: 08 Dec
Hi,
For the last 2 months, there has been continuous action in the Delhi-NCR region with fairly regular meetups. Unfortunately, few members from the larger community show up other than the volunteers from Srijan. It's normally just the same 3-4 faces. Today, at the meetup was no different.
Anyhow, one of the Agenda points to be discussed was to announce a proposed date for the DCD 2012.
We have Saturday, 08 Dec as the (proposed) date. We shall move this date only if JNU (the watering hole for all of us) is not available that date.

It is very obvious that GDO is receiving as much spam as real content. Especially by certain people believe that SEO is all about posting links on irrelevant sites.

For example the last 5 replies in a thread that I have subscribed to, are all spam, with a comment where the author tries to make it look like a relevant post, with no real content and a link to an irrelevant site
