How/When We Started: The Indy Drupal Users Group started meeting in January of 2008. Since that time we've ranged from meeting once a month, to twice a month, to infrequently. We've had instructional meetups, guest speakers, some hack-a-thons, and even pulled off 2 DrupalCamps.
We haven't had a meetup since Feb 2016.
OLD NEWS: The IndyDrupal Meetup.com Page has been closed. We will be using this forum from now on.
In April 2018 I asked our 251 MeetUp.com members if they wanted to do a meetup and got little response.
Drupal Camp Indiana
So just a thought popping into my head. Why not try to host our own Drupal Camp in 09? We have the resources, would just need a place to host it, and a time. Not sure how feasible it is....but maybe worth the discussion.

Anyone in a Helpful Mood? Attempting 1st Multisite Install
I am running Drupal 5.10 and have access to cPanel and the root server, but have not implemented this setup before. My ideal situation is to have one table for users and separate tables for content. If anyone feels up to it, I would be extremely grateful for a tutorial, walkthrough, or advice. I have read as much info as I can find on this, but I think I just need someone to be there this first time through, as I am just not that familiar with the database side of drupal. Thanks in advance!
Read moreRandom out of memory errors
I randomly seem to be getting an out of cache memory error. Has anyone had this issue before. I know there is a setting in settings.php, and I added to that last night. But I am still getting this error randomly. Is there another place that cache settings can be adjusted to stop this?

I have been meeting with some of the group members one-on-one lately and have some more scheduled. It's been fun. If you want to meet for early a.m. coffee on the North or East side or for lunch in the broadriplle-esque area drop me a lline.
As for the next group meeting.
How are we doing? Are we providing value? Are we meeting needs? Are we getting the job done?
I'll submit to the group.... When do you want to get together next as a group and what do you want to accomplish?
I'm game, just let me know.

Drupal Camp Chicago 2008
Who/Why:
For over 2 years Chicago Drupal has truly highlighted the benefits of an open source initiative. We have built resourceful bridges between many local Chicago establishments including non-profits, entrepreneurs, Drupal development companies, independent consultants, hobbyist, and others in the mid-west. Our goal for this Drupal Camp is to bring everyone together for open communication, education, fun, and industry networking.

At the last meeting I proposed a 6 hr event to take our time and dig slowly into CCK and VIEWS for Drupal6. The reception was entertaining.
Seth had an excellent response. He suggested a "Drupal HackFest." It would be an opportunity for us to show up and be in the same room and work on our individual projects and help each other out.
I loved it!!!
So what do you say?
Let's take a Saturday and meet at our old Broadripple conference room at noon and just start plugging away.
Ben needs a CCK configuration that would satisfy a real estate site. [I can do that]
How Many Drupal 6 Installs?
Is there somewhere that I can see stats on how many Drupal 6 installs there are? I thought it might be helpful with marketing if I knew how big the number was. Thanks for any help.

Read morenewest Drupal design
Hey. i just finished re-designing my church's site...still on Drupal 5.
I used the Nice Menus module to create the dropdown navigation. I also did some custom jQuery and Views to get the ministries box on the front page as well as the fades on the menus.
I think that we should let each other know when we finish things like this, just to keep up to date with what everyone is doing.
Read moreHosting
What is everyone doing for web hosting? As a group, we could likely consolidate our sites to run on a single server optimized for Drupal (ideal PHP.ini settings, modules, etc) and save everyone a load of cash in the meantime.
Now, obviously, we probably don't want to share a server that is in charge of a BIG drupal site, because that runs the chance of blowing performance for everyone.
We could probably cover the cost of the server easily with what our clients are paying for current solutions, and get them an SLA (uptime promise) and improved performance.

Hi once again folks!
Well, I have been burning the midnight oil and have come up with a design. BUT - at this point, so the developer's and programmers don't hate me for designing something that will cause lost hair or put out a contract on my life, let's say at this point, the design is proposed for discussion at the Tuesday meeting.
