First meeting of the Penn State / Central PA Drupal Users Group

When: Thursday, November 4
Where: 205 IST Building
Parking: The lot next to the IST building is ok to park after 5pm.
Time: 7pm-9pm
Eat ahead of time / bring snacks

This is the first meeting of the Penn State / Central PA Drupal user's group. Since it's hosted at Penn State there will probably be a lot of people wanting to talk about things in an educational context but we'll be discussing anything Drupal. Here's the current "schedule" though we'll stick to whatever people need to learn.

1. Meet n greet -- quick introductions and saying where you work / what you use drupal for and what you want to learn
2. Favorite (obscure) modules -- Open discussion about cool modules people have found (30 minutes max)
3. "What do I need to do..." -- Throw out a problem and get potential module combination / solutions from the group, open discussion format again. (as long as people have questions)
4. Show and Tell -- 5 minutes per person to show what they're working on if anyone wants to show off

I'm pretty open to whatever so if people even just want to do the "what do I need..." type of approach the entire time I'm cool with that. My goal in getting these going is to reduce knowledge silos (like the 4 or so I know exist currently at PSU) and empower everyone to know how to solve their own problems. We can talk education / ELMS if the group wants to but the point of these meetings is to increase in Drupal knowledge; if you turn that Drupal knowledge into making it easier for you to run an ELMS setup then more power to you :p

I'll be running point for the meeting. Come one come all...though saying you're coming would help us get an idea for numbers / interest. I know a bunch of members from the PSU community will be attending.
