Okay, you've probably noticed that the Drupal in Education group redesign is now in progress. Let me know what you think.
One thing I did notice...when I tested the new group homepage in FireFox, I got what I expected -- Upcoming Events and Job Posts side by side. But, when I looked at it in IE 7, the Upcoming Events and Job Posts boxes are stacked. Anyone else notice this?

Redesign
Looks good on my IE7.
It's nice to see this group evolving.

The tabs are a good start, but
the current home page feels to text heavy, and is verging on unnecessarily complex --
A simpler UI on the landing page, coupled with more detailed sub-pages (if that's even needed) would be more effective. This would add structure without hiding content behind an excessively busy screen.
As we add more organization, we don't want to have excessive structure acting as a barrier to participation.

Simpler group homepage
OK, I moved the guidelines to its own tab (or, it could become a subtab under Welcome, if people would prefer).
I'm not sure about the other changes to the homepage, so I didn't do those yet.

Drupal in Ed Group - Changes on May 8
Hi All,
I've just made a few changes to the Drupal in Education Home Page, as well as the Guidelines and Resources pages. You will notice the Home page now includes a box of Featured posts and, below that, a big box with a Resource Inventory.
That Resource Inventory is also the top of the Resources tab, with Case Studies and Tools showing up as sub-tabs below it.
And I've updated the Guidelines post which is presented on the Guidelines tab. See this to understand our current method for organizing content in this group.
PLEASE HELP develop our list of Resources for Drupal in Education by adding content to that wiki page.
Hope this helps, and thanks for your help!
Erik

Drupal in Ed Group Changes on May 17
Just made two minor changes to the group pages.
Couple of small tweaks to the home page text
Removed the Resources for Drupal in Education post from the Home page. It's still available on the Resources tab.
