There are certain Modules in Drupal (D6.6) which are of great value for Education related web sites. One of these Modules is "BIBLIOGRAPHIC MODULE"

Which is used for keeping Bibliographic records. It needs updates. The person which maintain this project has no time to do this. I think the Education group should see the value of this module and take over maintenance.

Our remote university in Iraq has made use of this so the students have the chance to look for relevant records related to their studies.
It need some added features such as Image and file attachment to share e-books, and ways that users leave comment of resored to record its usibilty.
I hope someone who knows programming is willing to give it ago.

We can support finalization of Biblio
Our University is extremely interested to support this but we do not know how. Can anyone enlighten us.

Three ways
The first would be to contact the developer, and sponsor him to port it to Drupal 6. In many cases, developers balance maintaining modules with their day to day work obligations, and sponsorship allows them the time to devote to a project.
The second way -- which depends on the resources you have within your university -- involves a person connected with the university porting the module themselves. This requires a developer with PHP experience, and, ideally, some Drupal development experience. If, however, you are looking to help an existing employee develop their skills, a project like this is an excellent learning experience.
The third way would involve hiring a developer to do it. In some cases, you can combine 2 and 3 -- the outside developer will support your internal programmer as they come up to speed with Drupal.
Then, when the work is done, you contribute the code back to the community, get credited for the contribution, and you ascend to Rock Star status.
(okay -- maybe I overstated the Rock Star status bit).
Cheers,
Bill
