Auto Logout

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Drupal 6.8 (soon to be 6.9)

I use automatic_logout so students won't leave their private pages open on the school computers. I set it to 5 minutes, which is fine on most cases, except when they are typing onto content/comment because automatic_logout doesn't detect the activity.

When I was commenting on other threads here, I noticed [Loading...] indicator at the top right (which I don't see it right now for some reason I don't know), and I thought if this is the way to stop students getting kicked out while they are composing something?

Since I got no response, I just wanted to post a screenshot so someone might know what I am talking about.

Interesting.. it won't let me post a tiny screenshot jpg file. I am trying from FireFox now.

Hiro: It would probably do

Hiro: It would probably do what you want it to do, depending on how Auto-logout recognizes the activity. Essentially the comment form is being submitted in the background and being previewed via Ajax. It's almost certainly a module on D.O., so I'd go hunting for it over there.

D.O.?

Thanks for your response, Dave.

What is D.O.? Still not sure what to search for. I did thrown as many keywords as I could come up with but no luck so far. -Hiro

Sorry D.O. stands for

Sorry D.O. stands for Drupal.Org. I just meant that it should be a module that is hosted on Drupal.Org since it is in use here. You might want to try contacting the webmasters of this site to ask them the name of the module.

Dave

Got it

Why did I not think about it! I emailed to the webmaster, hoping to hear from him soon. Thank you! -Hiro
