As some of you know I recently launched an iPhone application. Part of that application allows for updates to be displayed as a small icon over the large icon launches the application. This is very common among news applications.
To make this work there's a whole lot of internal communication that needs to happen with our website and some other services. I'm happy to report that all of it works, kinda.
Here is the problem that I'm experiencing and it is cron related.

For those who were at the meetup, there was a brief discussion about "race conditions" that were causing some problems for sites and manifesting as massive warnings about duplicate entries into various tables...
The good news is that it looks like 6.16 has the solution.
Bad news is that 6.16 is having trouble on PHP4.

Multiple forms on one page
Hello,
I have been struggling with a forms issue that I thought maybe someone could help answer for me.
Basically I am trying to have several drupal forms laid out in one page, with one "Save" button, which will save all of the forms on the page at once. Each form is already assumed to edit an existing node, so I do not need to worry about the case where the user is creating a new set of nodes from the forms on the page.

so close, but so far, with hook_preprocess_node()
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions at last night's meetup. I'm very close to a solving the problem I showed you. But I'm still missing a step (a function I think). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Recap of problem:
I'm calling hook_nodeapi() to re-arrange weights of things like this...
$node->content['video']['#weight'] = 0;
$node->content['map']['#weight'] = 1;
$node->content['pic']['#weight'] = 2;
$node->content['body']['#weight'] = 3; Mutli-site Install
I was wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot a multi-site install on Dreamhost. As far as I can tell, I'm doing everything right but when I go to the subdomain it never shows me the install screen for drupal, giving me instead a 404.
Here's the relevant info.
The main site is champsnotchumps.org at "localhost.champsnotchumps.org"
The site I'm trying to set up is at "dodson.champsnotchumps.org"
The first site is already up and I've set up a working domain for the second using Dreamhost's web panel.

Hi,
I have a local test site setup on Windows. I need to test outgoing emails. I have searched all the discussions related to this. I have updated my PHP.INI file as recommended, have tried using the SMPT and mimemail modules. I keep getting the SMPT Server response 550 5.7.1 authenticate required. Have also tried changing the port number from 25 to 80.
Any help would be appreciated... detailed instructions even more appreciated!
