It would be helpful to have an umbrella website that links to websites and organizations out there for Girls in Tech. Here is my short list at the time. Could you please be so kind as to add to it?
More choices:
www.codeyear.com (teaches JavaScript)
www.KHANacademy.org (teaches Python)
Elisabeth Robson authored the Head First Series (wickedlysmart.com). These are effective resources for training in HTML with CSS & XHTML, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, iPhone and iPad Development and iOS5. This is especially good for students that want clear pictures and diagrams to understand what they are learning. The authors worked with Disney before so this is an especially clearer series that could even be adapted for use with 7th-12th grade students.

"It can be intimidating for women to learn and ask questions when they are in an extreme minority. While open and welcoming, today's budding developer community is up to 91% male. If we can empower more females with the confidence in their technological capabilities we can begin to change this landscape.
Unless noted, all classes assume no technical background.
Beginners are welcome! "
