Hi.

I'm at a dead end with my header.

1)
I want to have search, main menu and logo on the same row. (see attachment). The menu and logo are aligned but I can't figure out where the search block is.
To be more specific: I have enabled the search block and put it in my header. But when I do it appears as a block below menu and logo. Can anyone tell me how to move the block so it appears to the left of my main menu?

2)
I want randomly chosen banners right below the three things mentioned above. IMPORTANT: The logo is intended to overlap the banners. Banners always leaves white space in the upper right corner where the logo is. How would you go about showing the banners and get the browser to choose randomly between img's in a folder on my server?

Thanks everyone.

I'm using ddblock to do something like what you are talking about in your #2. Take a look at www. himarriotonsociety.org.

2 isn't really a Zen

2 isn't really a Zen question.

1 could probably best be answered by "use CSS." Can't really get much more specific than that without seeing your code as it stands so far, I'm afraid.

If I understand the 2nd question correctly, what he is talking about is putting the top banner elements on top of some kind of rotating ad image. Ddblock can accomplish the rotating images part -- although I'm not sure random is the appropriate adjective. Positioning the other elements on top can be done with CSS positioning and z-index properties. Examine each element with firebug and figure out which css files the properties are located, then make adjustments accordingly.

Assuming the search block is in fact displaying somewhere on the page, I would recommend examining the code with firebug and from there you can easily see which files the positioning elements are located.

Though not explicitly a "Zen" issue, it seems to me that the least we can do is point him in the right direction.

Thanks guys

And sorry for the late reply and unspecific issue description. We pulled it of via some js. You can see it on www.tambourhinoceros.net
