NERD Summit Update
Kelly from Last Call Media will have an update on the New England Regional Developers Summit (NERDS).
Very Exciting
Glad to see this is happening! Attending would keep me up too far past my bedtime, but I'm excited to hear about it just the same! Pour one out for me, please.
I'm especially disappointed to miss the NetBeans stuff. I really need to start using that. It's fantastic.
Ummm . . .
pour just one?
I'd love to give a short
I'd love to give a short version of a Drupal 8 configuration management presentation I gave recently at SandCamp. Do we still need presenters?
You're scheduled in
Hey Rob,
How about you follow Kelly's update? You have the 6:30 slot. Will 15 minutes cover it or should we plan on 6:30-7:00?
Jim
Bummer again!
I was so hoping to make it tonight but the juggling caused by recent weather has made it once again impossible to join you all.
Over beers, I was going to challenge you all to compete for the corporate cup in the Berkshire Highlands Pentathlon. Right now Charlemont Web Works is one kayaker short of a team but if you enter, I will make sure you have a challenge! http://www.berkshirehighlandsevents.com/events-reader/events/pentathlon....
Thanks for all you're doing to keep this Drupal Group meeting going!
Missed you cwworks!

NERDS Update Notes:
Agenda from 2/14/14 NERDs meeting
There was no DrupalCamp this year to roll into the NerdSummit.
Previous camps happened when UMass wasn’t in session.
NERDSummit
Summit Dates: Sept. 12, 13, 14 2014

Help at https://pm.nerdsummit.org/issues/7451
Sessions cover a variety of topics: Drupal, WordPress, online commerce, more…
- individual topics need to draw from the local groups of interest (like this drupal group), essentially creating sub-camps
- separate from big picture organizing participation
Sponsors and sponsorship: http://nerdsummit.org/sponsors
The sooner sponsors sign on, the more value to get out of sponsorship as the ball gets rolling
Next steps: announce the dates; open up the site to session submissions

In debug mode: useful: access to variables on the page, breakpoints, call stacks

Upcoming Drupal Camps
CT meeting - sometime
NCTV is now hosting the WordPress meetup February 19, 2014. Their website is WP.
Open floor discussion:
Online Class Syllabus Access:
There is no access to syllabi until the class is created in the system and the student is enrolled in the class. How to provide access to the syllabi without these pre-conditions.
temporary URL for syllabus, but there’s no permanent repository for them. Desire is for a more permanent site to host syllabi (usually PDFs). Obviously Drupal would be a logical platform? Is there a good way of presenting the data.
Syllabus associated with a semester (i.e. F2014).
Next Meeting: March 20, 2014 at Amherst Media
