Incredible stuff, falcon, can't wait to implement some of these new features in an upcoming build. Really excited about the YouTube integration.

Keep up the good work - the ed-tech and drupal community are in your debt.

Can't get score for H5P content in Drupal Quiz

dr_wazza29's picture

Hi There, I added a few of these question types to a Drupal quiz. However, at the end of the quiz it gives a score of 0 for each H5P style question. Do you know how to get the Drupal quiz to record the scores accurately?

What kind of H5P question

falcon's picture

What kind of H5P question types did you try? Do you have the latest H5P module (7.x-1.1) and the latest H5P libraries?

I've tried flashcard,

dr_wazza29's picture

I've tried flashcard, multiple choice and fill in the blanks. I've got

H5P 7.x-1.1
Quiz 7.x-4.0-beta3 and
Drupal 7.32

I have installed the latest libraries but I still get the same issue.

If it should work then I can get my developer to look into what might be causing the problem. I just thought I might have missed something simple.

Then it should work yes. I

Then it should work yes. I did most of the testing with fill in the blanks and that one definitively should work. Anyone else having this problem?

quiz_h5p listens for xAPI events and adds a coded version of the score to the form every time a user fills in something in fill in the blanks or clicks on an alternative in multichoice.

following up on dr_wazza29's comment

Hi there, following up on the issue reported by dr_wazza29. I've installed quiz-7.x-4.0-beta3 and h5p-7.x-1.1 (and the latest content types downloaded via http://h5p.org/update-all-content-types). I created a quiz with a "fill in the blanks" H5P content type, with a single blank. I found the following behaviour:

If I enter the correct answer and then click the Finish button the score is not recorded.

If I enter the correct answer and then click the Check button followed by the Finish button the score is recorded.

I poked around in quiz_h5p.js and found:

H5P.instances in the line for (var i = 0; i < H5P.instances.length; i++) { is always an empty array (e.g. after entering text in the "blank" and then either clicking outside the text field or clicking the Finish button).

if (event.getVerb() === 'completed') { evaluates to true when the Check button is pressed, and event.getScore(); provides the correct score. I guess this is why it works when the Check button is clicked before submitting the answer.

This has now been fixed in

This has now been fixed in H5P 7.x-1.2. Your score will now be recorded when you click an alternative in mulichoice, write something in fill in the blanks, clicks something in mark the words or moves somtehing in drag text. Don't have to use the check button.

I've done some testing and it

dr_wazza29's picture

I've done some testing and it mostly works with the question types you've suggested. However, I found that if there are multiple answers in a Mark The Words question type then it doesn't give you full marks unless you check your answer first. It gives you one less mark.

Are there any immediate plans to integrate other question types in the same way? Flashcards would be a useful one.

Yeah, we plan to extend the

falcon's picture

Yeah, we plan to extend the xAPI support a lot, and also improve the quiz integration so that most content types works great inside the quizzes. We will also remove the check button if solution after each question have been disabled, and make the solutions for H5P questions appear in the results page after the quiz, but it will take some time til we get there.

Drag & Drop Question in Drupal Quiz

thuelin@hotmail.com's picture

Hi, first of all great job with H5P. We plan to use Drupal and H5P to run an eLearning platform.
I can't get the "Drag & Drop" type to pass the score through to Drupal quiz. All of the other types appear to work. Is this a known bug?
Thanks, Tim

Hi! That's not a known bug,

Hi!

That's not a known bug, but we're releasing a new version of H5P this week. We'll look into that and fix any problems. Thanks for reporting!

Hi Falcon,
Did you manage to address the issue of the Drag & Drop Question not passing through the scores to Drupal in the March release?
I've installed the libraries.h5p file from the upgrades page but I still get the same problem, so I though I'd check!
Thanks very much.
Tim

Presentation - Points

It appears that the Course Presentation content type also fails to pass points through to the quiz.
Would you mind taking a look please?
Thanks.

Yes, the fix for drag

Yes, the fix for drag question fixes it for Course Presentation and interactive video as well.

You are right. Only H5P

falcon's picture

You are right. Only H5P content that run in iframe like Interactive Video is in the instances array. I fixed this when testing but I must have overwritten my own fix somehow. I've now fixed this again. The plan is to release H5P 7.x-1.2 tomorrow. This fix will be part of that release. Users shouldn't have to press check to get their answers recorded.
