Drupal 8 may have been released over two years ago, but it’s still the newcomer in the Drupal community and at Creighton University. At present, we’re still working on getting our Drupal 8 platform ready for production. But we’re very close.
Come see how we’ve assembled a collection of contributed and custom modules, sub-themed Bootstrap, and leveraged Acquia’s Lightning distribution to create our own site building powerhouse. Plus, we’ll talking about using Aegir for our “local” development.
To go live, we have teamed up with Acquia to use their Acquia Cloud Site Factory to make it easier for our University Communications and Marketing web strategists to build and launch sites. We’ll talk about our experience working with one of the community’s preeminent corporate members.
Plus, we went to Bay Area Drupal Camp last fall, and took back a lot of information that we tried and even some that we ended up applying. We’ll tell the story of those attempts and successes.
Lastly, we’d love to have the developers and users in Nebraska start getting back together regularly, sharing knowledge, giving and getting advice, and generally enjoying each other’s company. As we say in Drupal: “Come for the code, stay for the community.”

Sounds really interesting! I hadn't thought about using Aegir as a local dev tool for SiteFactory.
Very cool!
