Front-end meetup - September 2012
This month we're switching things up a bit and doing a hands-on meetup! Bring your laptop and build some HTML/CSS style tiles with us! We'll incorporate a lot of what we've covered in the last few months, including responsive designing, CSS preprocessors, and--of course--style tiles.

Site Building with Drupal 7
Participants will be brought up to speed on Drupal and leave ready to tackle their own project!
This course is suitable for users who are new to Drupal and for those who want to cultivate their Drupal skills. Participants will also review Drupal's block system and use taxonomy to categorize their content. If you are new to both building websites and to Drupal, Drupal in a Day is strongly recommended as a prerequisite for this course.

PDX Drupal and open source goodness up for auction now for Street Roots
Hello all,
I wanted to thank and call out the PDX Drupal and open source community for their support of Street Roots during our annual online fundraising auction, and call attention to some of the awesomeness available--basically, everything needed for one to get up and running as a good Drupal Open Source Citizen. A local non-profit organization is in the process of planning and organizing a two-day event specifically for high school-aged young women that exposes them to various tech fields. One workshop will have attendees creating their own website using Drupal.
