Quiz

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.
This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

This is a group to discuss developments in the quiz module and it's development. This group hopes to be a place to discuss new exciting ideas and implementations.

Feedback for short answer questions

It appears that feedback can not be entered to appear upon completion of a quiz comprised of short answer questions. Is this correct or am I missing something? It would be helpful to provide feedback for all automatically evaluated question types.

Quiz question display issue

This is actually probably more of a CSS IE 7 issue. When viewing my short answer question quiz (in the take mode) the answer field appears on the right of the answer choices. The particular quiz I have set up displays an image and then a 2 column table with choices. The image and table display fine but it seems like the page is too long and rather than expanding to accommodate the answer field it wraps to the right. Any suggestions?

Production use is now supported. (Quiz 3 is not supported anymore.)

I will add a bigger post with more info on this later to this same group as well as to the Drupal in Education and the new LMS group.

Create two separate (but similar in structure) self assessment questionnaires for existing Drupal 6.16 (17) site using Quiz 6.x 4.0 beta 7

Using multi-choice questions within questionnaire and allocating different scores for each answer, however scores do not output unless only one choice is nominated as 'correct' . Essentially I'm looking to create something similar to http://groups.drupal.org/node/70623 with additional - sub-grouping of questions to provide additional feedback.

This may effectively come under a 'personality quiz' - no longer (?) part of Quiz 4. Has anyone found a solution to http://groups.drupal.org/node/70623 in Quiz 4 and if so how ?

incorrect quiz reports after re-scoring short answer questions

I am using Quiz 6.x.3.5 and have created a quiz with short answers. I found that when rescoring the quiz that the total score does not updat nor the quiz report on the user node. I was able to edit the score manually in the database table but cannot find where the data for the user node quiz report comes from to edit those tables for example:

You got 4 of 6 possible points.
Your score was: 67%
This is the text from the user node quiz report.

37 06/23/2010 - 10:03 06/23/2010 - 10:11 100

Have you tried upgrading from Quiz 3 to Quiz 4 without success? We have now tested the update path and made some improvements. The update is a bit faster, and it also makes sure you have enabled the required modules Autoload and Quiz question.

Future work - Quiz 5

Quiz 4 should be ready to be released soon. It is time to start planning Quiz 5.

What features goes into Quiz 5 is determined by what features the community wants and what features we have development-time to implement.

Among other smaller improvements I will include these three features in Quiz 5(My development-time on these three features is sponsored by the Norwegian Digital Learning Arena):

1. Written answer that supports multiple correct answers

Separating out import/export modules

question_export, question_import and results_export has now been separated out of quiz. We have created a separate project for these modules here:

http://drupal.org/project/quiz_ei

The reasons for having a separate project is mainly to reduce the size of each project and give them separate release cycles.

The EI modules are included in Quiz 4 Beta 6. With releases after beta 6 the import and export modules will be gone, and you'll have to download and install the quiz_ei project to continue using those modules.

Selecting questions from a pool using multiple taxonomy terms

If this question is posted in the wrong section, I apologize and please move it to where it belongs. Here's what I'm trying to do and I'm wondering if it is possible or if I'm doing something wrong. I created an assortment of 20 true/false and multiple choice questions based on 4 topics (5 questions per topic) that I defined using the taxonomy module and assigned during the creation of the questions. Now when I go to the "Manage questions" tab of the quiz and the "Pool of questions" dropdown section, I see all the taxonomy terms listed there, but I can select only one term.

How to identify how many users have chosen an option in multiple choice answer type questions?

I would like to show the quiz-taker how many people chose a particular option after each question. This presents me with 2 difficulties

  1. How to compute what percentage of users chose which answer choice.
  2. How to add an "in-between" page where only this information is displayed? I am trying to recreate the quiz functionality seen on http://www.lifescript.com/Quizzes/Astrology/Are_You_True_To_Your_Zodiac_... where, after you answer the question, immediately you are presented with the information "You Said ... Others Said ..."?

Multiple quiz import using WWW::Mechanize - stuck because can't check the checkboxes!

I am trying to programmatically import 1000 quizzes. I am preparing the quizzes in Aiken format and using a perl script to "automate" the process of uploading the quiz. At present it consists of following steps:
1. Going to Home Page
2. Logging in as admin
3. Navigating to admin page
4. Navigating to "Import and export of quiz" page
5. Navigating to "Import Quiz Questions" page
6. Filling the form (including new quiz name, and uploading the quiz file) and going to "Import" page which is basically "Manage Questions" page
7. STUCK

Context sensitive Image-based quiz questions

Alright, so I'm not sure if this is the place to start but I am. I'm looking for feedback to a concept that's currently being kicked around my office. Every summer starts the "what neat thing can we give back to Drupal and improve our courses" discussion and this was the concept that I came up with this year. I'm trying to gauge what the interest level would be if I were to integrate this as a quiz question instead of just my purely stand-alone implementation that I had originally conceived:

Here's the use-case:
* You want to quiz / self-check students on a concept

Rating in Quiz

Hi,

It's the first time I use this module, so please forgive my ignorance. I have looked around about whether I could use rating or not in my quiz but I could'n find something relevant. I suppose that it's not straightforward, but since this module has a lot o features, probably I can do what I would like to do indirectly.

Le't say that I have the following quiz

Question1
1. Answer 11
2. Answer 12
3. Answer 13
4. Answer 14

Question2
1. Answer 21
2. Answer 22
3. Answer 23
4. Answer 24

Question3
1. Answer 31
2. Answer 32
3. Answer 33
4. Answer 34

Adaptative Quiz

Hi all,

I'm working the adaptative feature for the quiz module , here is my approach any comments will be really useful. ( Is anyone working this feature alredy?)

  1. Adding a database column called next_step to the quiz_node_relationship, that will store the adaptative conditions based on the answer for the current question.

Open Homeroom, a Drupal-for-One-Classroom Experiment

Open Homeroom:

OpenHomeroom.net

I imagine that the following story is not unique to me. In response to a bunch of wining from fellow teachers about how complicated Drupal is, I started making some tutorials to show what could be done easily for a single classroom with Drupal without any coding or even extra modules, other than the core ( http://flossed.org/homeroom_homework_site_with_drupal6 ).

Can I display all questions on a single page?

I use Drupal6 and quiz module 6.x-3.5. The module displays a single question at a time on a page; is it possible to have all the questions of the quiz displayed one one page? If yes, how?

Thanks.

How to programmatically access the "current quiz question" related information from within the quiz module?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create a LIFELINE feature for the quiz. For starters, it will display live twitter feed related to current quiz topic. I am using Quiz 4 module. I have created a new question_type, that will allow adding extra fields and store additional fields information in a separate table.

Documentation link Broken

Hi, I've been a user on and off for a long time; now trying to implement on site meant to demonstrate what a single classroom ("Homeroom") can do with Drupal. Of course I want to use Quiz. Anyone know the state of the documentation? On the module page, bottom, the link is broken (it goes here: http://contrib.caucusllc.com/quiz-demo/node/11).

Thank you,

David

Will create "point at correct spot(s) on image" question type.

Think of a learning doctor who has to find a certain bone in an X-ray image. This could be a tricky quiz question. If all works out as expected in the next few weeks, I'm going to create a new question type (for one of my clients, but released to the community) where the quiz taker has to mark correct places or things on an image in order to get the score. It's going to be a little bit like HTML image maps, only on the server side, so nobody can cheat. I'm announcing this so far in advance for that I can consider your ideas right from the beginning. So, please, what do you think about such a type of quiz questions and what features would you like to have in it?
