The Santa Cruz Drupal User's Group is looking to connect Drupal users in and around Santa Cruz, California.
We have a budding tech community in Santa Cruz. One factor in our tech growth is the use of Drupal at several local web shops, start-ups, and organizations. Drupal use at UC Santa Cruz is also growing and it's time we all got together to share knowledge and learn from each other.
We (almost always) meet on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7pm. Meetings are free and held at NextSpace at 101 Cooper Street in downtown Santa Cruz. All are welcome. Ring the buzzer to get let into the building.
Note - If the meeting day falls on a holiday or during the winter holidays (e.g. January), then we might reschedule or cancel the meeting but there will be a discussion or event here for it.

Images and content
I am trying to work with some images in ckeditor wysiwyg and I can input the links but I am seeing them as anchors and the image-x-generic.png instead of images. I am using media browser...
Has anyone had experience with this?
Does anyone have a better solution for inlining images?
It appears that IMCE is having a bit of an issue with the file browser...

Come help us convert Drupal 8's theme engine to Twig!
We're nearing the home stretch of Round 1 of the Twig conversion, and it's time to get all hands on deck! If you can create patches, test patches, review patches, convert PHPTemplate to twig, improve documentation, or help us clean up the theme system (there's plenty of non-twig-related work too!) then please, meet us online from 1-5pm on Friday, March 22nd

In April, we will be talking about RESPONSIVE THEMES! :)
Perhaps several folks can spend around 15 minutes on a particular theme like:
Sasson - Carl (?)
Omega - Darryl (?)
Adaptive - me (or Kristin Tkoch or someone else?)
xyz - Julia (?)
Zen5 - (?)
Thoughts?

There has been little response to Carl's post about not being able to present tomorrow night.
Should we stay or should we go?
(I mean, stay with tomorrow night or go to the following Tuesday - probably not what the Clash were singing about.)
Anyway, if we're staying with tomorrow night, I can give a technical talk about using the Migrate module. I've been hot and heavy for the last couple weeks migrating a vBulletin forum to D7, and I can talk to the specifics of writing mapping code between them.

So, yeah. Didn't notice that until today.
We can either reschedule for the second tuesday of the month, or we can move the "battle of the base themes" talk until April.
edit: I can't seem to delete this to make a poll instead, so head over to http://doodle.com/rha4kyywabvatc5s

Read moreIE, need I say more.....
But I have to! Apparently there is ONE person who cannot read class schedule that are posted on toadalfitness.com in what is claimed to be the most current edition of IE. However, I cannot seem to recreate the issue, leaving me with the crazy question of "how the heck do I fix this". I have never heard a developer speak kindly of IE, but that does not mean I can afford the luxury of "Forget IE". So how does one go about recreating an issue such as this and then fixing it?

Ok, Drupal group peeps. Here's my problem:
My client has a Drupal 6 install with a vanilla drupal contact form.
They have shared hosting at dreamhost with their domain email being hosted through google apps.
So far so good.
Recently we have noticed that they can receive email from any anonymous user who does not have a gmail.com email.
This means that if an anonymous user wants to contact them and puts email@gmail.com into the email field of the form, the mail will not go through.

You’ll also see how the Features module can enable you to keep your configuration changes in version control.
We'll cover industry-approved deployment strategies that let you move smoothly through development, testing and live environments. You’ll get a high-level overview of how to modify the way your site looks by sub-theming, preventing hours of frustration should your original theme be updated.

I mentioned that I have done this to move data across to a new Drupal site with Feeds. Perl is (IMHO) an awful language, but it's available everywhere, so it's convenient.

Read moreCurious about Panels/Panels Everywhere
Just wondering what the general thoughts are about these modules. The Distro that brought me to Drupal in the first place has panels installed on the D7 alpha and I would like to become familiar with it. I have a test site that would be a great playground for this, but seems cumbersome out of the box.
Thoughts?

Hi,
I know AT is on the upcoming discussion list, but I have a site that is having some re-size issues. A footer view is not resizing and some embedded video is not re-sizing. I am looking for some tips or directions to look for answers.

I got a little frustrated dealing with MAMP and decided to setup my own local dev environment - I found a good gist outlining it, but I encountered a typo and had to update the PHP section a bit so I forked it. I added in DNS (hence the DNS section being less super auto copypaste cool). ;)

Hey all,
Well, as title suggests, I need some help with a complex rule. Here is the what I am trying to accomplish.
On the registration page for new users, I am using profile2, I have a select list, this select list is within a field collection. Based upon the selection from this select list the user might join, one, multiple, or no groups.
Similar questions have been asked over the web, but there seems to be no answers.
I believe I have the bulk of it at least to test a simple version of the rule, before creating a rule set.
