[DCMuc16] Can you smell the gingerbread and hot spiced wine? DrupalCamp Munich 2016 is coming

Hey Drupalistas!
We are just a few blinks away from the DrupalCamp Munich 2016 (31.11.-02.12.2016 CodeSprints @ Burda Media // 03.12.-04.12.2016 DrupalCamp @LMU Munich). As you know, this is our 2nd Camp after the great (and 1st) DrupalDevDays in 2010, and we think we will be great hosts again.
So, it's your part to submit your session prosposals until 14th of november and to be part of the special spirit of a camp with friends, Drupal, PHP, Symfony, beer, a lot of socializing, food, another beer, coffee, code sprints, very special welcome-bags, ...
We are thankful of our sponsors so we have a special prizing for students and WWCode. Please contact us for further information.
We look forward to seeing you at DrupalCamp Munich 2016 and to drinking a mug or two of "Gluhwein" or bavarian beer together.
Greetings from our Team

Join us this Thursday at 19:30!
It's been an exciting month. DrupalCon ended at the beginning of October, and a few of our Drupal Somerset attendees went and can't wait to talk about it!
More importantly, Andrew Crook will be giving us a talk:
"How to migrate a Drush make file into Composer, and show it in a wider context of build/deployment functionality (in a Drupal 7 instance)."
Any Drupal 8 composer-related conversation is welcome afterwards. We will also be discussing the latest news and trends with the web industry.

Hello there,
This evening we'll have a talk by Michael (Media, Marketing and Websites Director) from Indigo Herbs. Indigo Herbs uses a mix of Drupal, Magento and other technologies to run their business and they recently introduced a clever new workflow that uses Drupal to print packaging and labels for their products.
Michael will talk about why and how Indigo Herbs have this system in place and share lessons learned of the implementation.
Furthermore we will be talking about Drupal 8 and other Drupal related news.

Drupal Somerset Meet up 046
Now Drupal 8 is out we aim to meet up regularly again with this being the second 'official' meet up post-drupal8 launch and pre-2016.
This is going to be a pub meet with plenty of opportunity to talk about all things new in Drupal 8. The pub and location itself will be announced nearer the date but it is likely to be in the Langport area.
Please keep an eye on this post for updates or tune into the @drupalsomerset Twitter account.
With a bit of luck we'll have @horncologne as special guest!
We look forward to seeing you there.

Hi there
I've just joined the South West England group as I live and work in Devon and have been running Drupal websites for 8 years.
I want to extend my knowledge by building an eCommerce site for the charity I work for and have installed Commerce Kickstart 2.
There's little documentation or online tutorials - what there is, it's mainly for previous version or for Drupal Commerce.
Has anyone got a Commerce Kickstart website up and running and created different product types/variations?

After feeling inspired by the sprints at DrupalCon LA, and following on from the thoughts of mixing up the group activities, would anyone be interested in attending regular sprints in Bristol? Maybe one Saturday or a weekend a month?
I'd certainly be willing to provide some mentoring for new contributors, as well as helping out if anyone wants to do any work on Drupal.org itself or the conference organising distribution.
If people are interested, would any companies be willing to give us some space or provide lunch etc?

o To learn about the community management best practices
April social meetup, DrupalCamp update, PHPSW discussion
Usual Drupal social at the Llandoger for beers and Drupal/tech discussions, all are welcome.
A couple of other things that it would be good to discuss:
- Joint talk night with PHPSW (in June?)
- DrupalCamp Bristol update
[Free Webinar] Drupal 8: Frontend for Backenders
Drupal 8 will ship with a fancy new template engine (Twig) and a simpler theme layer. In this webinar, our speaker will show you some goodies from Twig and give you a walkthrough on how to get started with it.
He will also talk about the major problems that people were facing in working with Drupal 7 and what the community has done to make it better. This webinar will show - in both practical examples and on a broader scale - why Drupal 8 will make peace between backenders and frontenders.

Business day on Friday 3rd July, and sessions and sprints on Saturday 4th July. Tickets for both are available from http://2015.drupalcampbristol.co.uk.

There's a create Job, but no create post about a person looking for work...
It would be great if that were fixed... but in the mean time, if anyone's looking for some Drupal hands here in the South West, hit me up.
I'm not looking myself, but my colleague is and he's suddenly available at short notice.

Drupal Camp Bristol will take a lot of organising and require help and contribution at many different levels.
It has just kicked of here: https://groups.drupal.org/node/446078 and here: https://trello.com/b/QBuupC0W/general# big thanks to all those who are already starting to help and to those who already started the investigation over the last few weeks.
