Drupal Camp London review

The weekend of March 2-3 saw the first ever Drupal Camp in London. With about 350 attendees, 48 sessions, 2 keynotes and several BoF sessions it was a big success. We'll look back at the camp and find out how people experienced it.

Drupal World Sprint Weekend 9 & 10 March

This is the second of the new sessions and is aimed at getting Hands ON with Drupal. We all work with Drupal and have our own ways and best practices. These sessions are for sharing these best practices, to fix, learn, code, contribute back to the Drupal community and just to have a good time doing Drupal.

Today we will be setting up and working with a GIT code repository.

First wednesday of the month....

Now, at the elephant last month there was talk of going somewhere where the pints don't cost upwards of four quid. I think it might be time to look at a different venue.

It's pretty cheap in the mothers ruin (£2 a pint before 7 for cider and beer i think) but potentially will get noisy with live music quite early, but maybe not. And Seamus O donells is also on the same street (I really like it, but potentially a bit of a squeeze).

What does everyone think? Is it time to make the move to another venue? Options?

Who can attend?

The global Drupal community consists of people from all walks of life who all play part in developing Drupal. If you use Drupal already, are thinking of using it for your personal, business or community website or just want to come and find out what its all about then feel free to come along.

What to expect?

It's very last minute, but, as has been stated, there may have enough momentum for people to have safely assumed that the first Wednesday of the month means Drupal-dot-beer in Bristol? :D

As I've already cleared it with the missus, I am going to pop along to the Elephant after work and loiter in the usual corner (I don't think fears of over-spilling will be a problem this week).

I'd love to chat to someone about Services 3 (and web services in general) and would be willing to buy a pint or two in exchange for knowledge..

First Wednesday of the month => Bristol Drupal meet up.

I know some of you won't know until the last minute but please could you either signup to the event here or drop me a line if you will be coming. There was talk of relocating to a venue with a large space available, but I don't think we should bother unless we're sure we'll get the turn out of the last week.

Maybe we can make a better job of optimally re-arranging the tables this time? We are techies after all!
