Marketing and Branding Committee looking for Chair
As you may or may not be aware, the DA recently approved the charter to create a Branding and Marketing Committee for Drupal. They are now looking for a permanent chair to lead the effort.

Ok, so I just discovered that becoming a Drupal Association Member is only $30 per year! I personally feel that this is more than worth it for the slick little badge you get and what better way to support the community we all love. I guess I'm posting this for anyone that didn't know how in-expensive it is and also to bring up another topic...
Are there people out there that will sponsor developers we all know and love to get their memberships? If not, I think this would be a great way to show some of our devs how much we appreciate them AND give back to drupal at the same time!

Just before the final decisive meeting about the formation of a Belgian Drupal Association we received the news that the other Drupal Association (DA, also a Belgian entity) offers its financial infrastructure to us for organizing events. This means a bank account, credit card and on line payment processing. In exchange the local community pays the accounting costs it causes.
