Ok, so I just discovered that becoming a Drupal Association Member is only $30 per year! I personally feel that this is more than worth it for the slick little badge you get and what better way to support the community we all love. I guess I'm posting this for anyone that didn't know how in-expensive it is and also to bring up another topic...
Are there people out there that will sponsor developers we all know and love to get their memberships? If not, I think this would be a great way to show some of our devs how much we appreciate them AND give back to drupal at the same time!
If this is old and useless, let me know, maybe I just missed the "Join Drupal Association" boat...

I realized the same at SANDcamp and signed up right there, while listening to the keynote!
I tweeted then and a few people also signed up. We're certainly not alone in "missing the boat" - it's a worthy reminder.
