Hello,

I'm looking for advice on the best way to set up my author site using drupal. My domains are from godaddy.com and my hosting is through ipage.com. Anyone know of the themes or modules for this type of site to support blogging, articles, ect.? Hi all,

I tried to create a 'about the author' block/view, which should be displayed on the article detail node. Currently, by default the 'about the author' is shown at the bottom (hardcoded in the OP node views).

We've got a couple of issues which we're trying to figure out;

• We placed the user login block sitewide when logged in (obviously!) and it said the standard 'the block doesn't display when on this page'. When we log out we can then see the block ok. The problem is that we don't want it there anymore and we can't remove it. Obviously we can't remove it with 'context editor' as it doesn't display when logged in. We've also tried configuring the block so it doesn't display on any page/user can't see it and it hasn't worked... Any ideas asides from deleting it?

Would anyone know why the openpublish blog page doesn't show author names on the blogs only the picture and the title/deck? Here is an example: http://imaneinstein.com/blogs

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how I can get that nice Author Info that get's presented at the bottom of blogs and articles in OP to also go on my custom content type?

The http://drupal.org/project/author_select module is up which transforms the autocomplete Authored By field to an HTML <select> widget (which seems to be much easier for clients to get a handle on).

I'd love it if you guys could try it out on a couple sites and let me know if you have any problems. It's really simple, but has made life a lot easier for a couple of our clients.
