Wellstone Action Case Study
Hi All,
We've just posted a case study describing our work for Wellstone Action, an awesome local (Twin Cities, MN) organization serving the progressive movement. The case study is at http://drupal.org/node/413910 and covers the process we use to build websites with Drupal - and - as such - may be of interest to folks here.

For today's BDUG (Berkeley Drupal User Group) meetup we had an open discussion about project management methodologies and tools, and layed out a basic plan for what a full featured project management system might look like in Drupal. I know many Drupal development shops each have their own tools for this, many developed internally on Drupal for specific needs.
This document is an initial rough outline, so feel free to suggest changes or other ideas for it.

Read moreCCK + Views issue tracking
I have read in several different discussions about the possibility of building a fairly feature-full issue tracking system with just stock cck and views. Several people have claimed to have done this, but I haven't seen any documentation, or exported views or anything like that. I think I can probably put something together, but I wanted to know if anybody has any examples or documentation available.
Thanks,

Church Project Management
I've recently come across the storm module. I'm exploring the ability to build a work group collaboration tool around this module along with the use of a variety of other tools. In a non-church effort, I've been researching all sorts of collaboration and project managment web services such as Basecamp, CentralDesktop, ACE, Sharepoint and some more. They've all had their issues in one area or another.
The flexibility of Drupal combined with storm may be able to bring us closer than any other options.

Just saw this in contributions:
http://drupal.org/project/storm
STORM (SpeedTech Organization and Resource Manager) is a project management application for Drupal.
It provides the following features :
* Attributes : to manage the different list of values used in STORM, like : tasks status, countries, currencies and so on
* Organizations : the companies or individual stakeholders of your projects
* Projects : your projects. Every project can have multiple tasks hierarchically nested to build a WBS
* Tasks : the parts that compose a project

Node types:
* User (not nessessarily a node, actually)
* Project (A container for all project activity, i'd like OG)
* Milestone (basically just a date with explanation and title)
* Task (may be referrenced to a milestone and to a user. organized by taxonomy)
* Discussion (a thread, organized by taxonomy, may be referrenced to a milestone)
* Whiteboard (yay! a whiteboard to draw fancy thingies)
* Resource (the project manager can provide/set a resource (eg time or money or whatever), which the active staff can use, may be referrenced to a milestone)

Why not documenting some Generic PM case studies with Drupal?
The field of GENERIC (Non-Software) project management is exploding, with some fields like Project Management Offices (PMO), Portfolio Management, PM Methodologies and Projectized driven organizations.
Combining the creativity in this Drupal community to generic PM lends itself to some interesting and even profitable services.
I am "ploughing with someone's elses horses" but I just read about this case study and thought it a good start to this type of discussion to generate some ideas, tips and tricks.
Have you seen this?
Hey Guys,
have you seen ProjectPier? Its a pretty well developed project management program similar to Basecamp. I'd be interested to hear everyone's comments. Also, whether you think this could be better implemented in Drupal or things you think are missing, etc?

At DrupalCampLA I presented two sessions on Project Management Site, which is a Drupal site that I configured for Project Management. I created the demo site to show project managers that Drupal is a far superior program than many PM applications.
At the end of the first session I promised to list the installed modules. Here is a link to that list:
