We receive RFPs on a weekly basis. The majority are so awful they hit the trash, but the real tragedy is that a bad RFP creates confusion, clutter and cost. Ron shared an RFP he got that made me laugh so hard I almost fell out of my chair.

Thanks to @bmann I came across a really great post from Morten Just on using the new Google Draw for wireframing, (and @chrisstrahl for reminding me to post this up to the group). He's created a bunch of templates and stencils and shared them publicly so anyone can use them. I have been trying it out for a set of wireframes I've been working on this week, and it's actually pretty good.

During DrupalCon SF, a few of us had conversations about how there's not a whole lot of project manager community, and subsequently, not a whole lot of contributing back.

To kickstart this, I've registered #drupal-pm, but nothing has really been decided about what the area's tagline should be.
It's a place for project managers in the community to gather, but beyond that, open to discussion about area rules, et al.

Go ahead and weigh in about what our next steps are for building the project manager community in Drupal.

This set of tools will allow grassroots activists to better organize projects and campaigns and will also be useful to end-users working on almost any type or project. Existing tools for Drupal are lacking key features, often not very user-friendly, and almost never packaged for easy setup. I will address these problems by:

• Adding functionality to existing task tracking modules
• Creating the capacity for subgroups

After attending the recent Eugene Drupal Users Group meeting, I wanted to reach out to some local networks of programmers to see if anyone had any ideas to contribute to a project that I am planning for this summer: A project management tool for activists, organizers and social movements.

I'm a student at the University of Oregon, a computer science minor, an environmental studies major and an activist. I have directed many issue/election campaigns and I started a new student group on campus. I work with organizers from across the NW on campaigns related to climate change.

I'd like to set up a system on our church website for members so I and the leadership can post tasks that need to be done, and members can "claim" that task. It should allow for repeating tasks and allow members to choose to do it once or ongoing. I'm wondering whether a classifieds system would work. Other suggestions?

I've been asking around among friends and colleagues to find out which Project Management software people think is the best, particularly for accommodating Agile development, and have been getting a lot of mixed responses, so I thought it would be a good question to post.

I just installed CiviCRM 2.2 and taking it very slow. We have a small center and currently we use paper and spreadsheets to track projects, equipment and people. I'd like to try and set ourselves for working with the Open Media tools in the long run (Merci), but in the short run here are some of my plans. (Admittedly, I haven't looked too deeply into CiviCRM - so go easy on me) Does anyone have some experience on how to approach this?
