In May 2017 we are hosting the European Drupal Business Days in Frankfurt and we are looking forward to high-end Drupal 8 case studies dealing with media websites and advertising.

What:

We are working on a few publishing projects by now and there seems no final good option out there to quickly get the site up and running. We are investigating what's best solution to build robust premium Magazine/News themes (by this I actually mean a complete Drupal website profile).

Goal:

We want to develop at least 5 different Drupal News and Magazine themes and offer them as basic off-the-shelf package and add customizations on top per bespoke business requirements.

Designs:

I work for a mid-sized UK publisher wanting to move from a proprietary CMS to OpenPublish. I am looking for a company - ideally in the UK - that can help us plan and execute this transition. All suggestions welcome.

Anyone up for a collaboration to build a multisite for small- to mid-sized journals?

Let me explain.

OP2 did a marvelous job for me way back. I showed the possibilities and what one can achieve with Drupal. In my case this resulted in a website that has a complete archive of a literature journal, with author-controlled biographies, blogs, events... and hopefully soon an e-shop (cf. Ubercard), mobile webapp (cf. Services), metadata-standards based exports (MarcXML, MODS), archival/preservation (cf. exports to Internet archive)...

I'm collecting some info about distributions including Drupal and a selection of modules for newspapers and magazines. Examples are OpenPublish (project), ProsePoint, and the Innovation News installation profile.

In the section Modules: Content display, some newspaper/magazine modules are listed: E-Publish, Innovation News, E-Journal. If there were webmasters or developers in this group who have tried them, I think it would be useful for many of us to know your opinions and experiences. Thank you.
