DrupalCamp

On June 20 - 21, people from all over the Midwest who use, design, develop and support Drupal will convene in downtown St. Louis for the second annual DrupalCamp STL. Meet us in St. Louis and help us forge new skills and friendships while furthering the Drupal project.

DrupalCamp St. Louis 2015 is coming soon (less than a month away!), and we have some great news to share: Alina Mackenzie (alimac) will be this year's keynote speaker, and the keynote's topic will be "Finding the entrance: Why and how to get involved with the Drupal community".

Registration opens soon, but session proposals are already being accepted, with a cutoff of May 29—so propose your session today!

Considering that this is the first DrupalCamp in our country you're welcomed to share your Drupal experience in Beginner|Intermediate|Advanced level with the community.

drupal generates a considerable load on the web server and can quickly become resource constrained there, having multiple web servers also increases the the redundancy of your deployment. it is always a system engineering perspective to take care the platform of drupal, i have seen a site with minimum memory to be ran is 4G, at the same time it is still slow. Handling the platform well that delivering your web service could enhance end-user experience, and at the same time saving costs.

Seeing how we're behind the 8-ball a little bit in planning FLDC15, Mike Herchel, Dennis Solis, and I just had a quick call about how best to proceed. The call was open to anyone paying attention in the #drupal-florida IRC channel.

Based on a number of factors, we decided to pursue Florida Technical College (FTC) as the venue for next year's camp. If available, this will greatly simplify the planning: we know them, they know us.
