The Wellington meetup in October was a success with a range of people with Drupal interest attending. We had 18 in total and the mix was about 10 developers, 5 account manager/or project manager and a few content / Drupal Users.

Some of the sites being developed in Drupal were of very high standard and this showed with the presentations. In addition to this each project presented some of the difficulties faced such as migration, integrating with other systems and modules to use in implementation.

I will try to live dent the meetup at the Drupal Portugal group on Identica. It will be in english as to benefit the non-portuguese speaking audience.

Conclusões e questões em aberto depois da reunião virtual do dia 18 no
IRC (#drupal-pt).

1. O Drupalcamp será em Lisboa no próximo ano. Idealmente antes do
   Drupalcon US e numa data suficientemente afastada do
   Drupalcamp Espanha.
2. O evento terá a duração de um dia com sessões em inglês e
   português. As sessões em português serão introdutórias para
   aumentar a percepção do Drupal em Portugal: evangelizar. As sessões
   em inglês serão mais avançadas e a ideia é atrair pessoas de fora.
3. O evento decorrerá durante um fim-de-semana para poder ser
   "vendido" também como um evento turístico para quem venha de fora
   de Lisboa e de Portugal.
4. Foi adquirido o domínio drupalcamp-pt.org. Há agora que tratar de
   desenvolver o site. O Drupalcamp de Lx fica em
   lx2010.drupalcamp-pt.org e outros eventos que haja, por exemplo um
   drupal meetup no Porto ou em Coimbra ficariam respectivamente em
   porto-meetup2010.drupalcamp-pt.org
   coimbra-meetup2010.drupalcamp-pt.org.

Realizations and open questions after the virtual meetup on IRC of the
18th (#drupal-pt)

Thanks to everyone to coming out for the October, 2009 Central Florida Meetup at MindComet's offices in Altamonte Springs.

We started off with a demonstration/discussion/exploration of the latest Drupal 7 development version. We took about an hour to explore all the new features. We spent a significant amount of time with the Dashboard module, fields in core, taxonomy as fields (wow), and ImageAPI in core (sweet).

"This guy better stop before he pisses someone off."

Gosh, within the past 72 hours: I've introduced a logo concept... registered a domain name... and now a third proposal???

Bottom Line:
I would like to see our group grow.

I'm going to be traveling up to Connecticut for a couple weeks in November and I'm curious as to if there's any interest in getting a meetup together. I'm from Florida and one of the organizers of the Florida Drupal User's Group and always enjoy getting together with other Drupal folks when I travel.

I took a quick look at the group, and it doesn't look like you guys have had a meetup in awhile - what do you say we try to kickstart things with a meetup next month?

Pues vengo regresando del Segundo Drupal Meetup en Guadalajara que me parece fue todo un éxito.

Tuvimos un crecimiento de más del 100% (en el primero fuimos 3, ahora eramos 7 jeje). Y vimos muchos temas muy interesantes.

Los asistentes fuimos Arabela, David, Marco, Luis Carlos, Gustavo, Elias, Su servilleta, Joaquín.

The Central Florida edition of the Florida Drupal User's Group had another great meetup on Saturday at Mind Comet's offices in Altamonte Springs. Over 15 people attended (Andrew - you guys are going to need to get a bigger conference room table) and a variety of topics were discussed.

How are things? Everyone still loving the #1 open source CMS?

I am writing everyone to announce the CDMUG summer vacation will be over shortly. I apologize for the gap in events from month to month, but I wouldn't feel too bad. I spoke with many other organizers in countries from all over the world at Drupalcon Paris. They are lucky enough to get more than 15 people to meet every few months. This proves that Chicago is one of the largest Drupal communities in the world. Great work everyone, it is because of you that we have this wonderful group.

So i figured i would get the discussion going for the next meetup.

From my perspective, it would be great to lock down a few items such as location, frequency, and what do we want to do at meetups.

May we could aim for the first week of october and see what interest is generated.
