Announcing the next Boston area Drupal training on Monday March 8, 2010, from 9AM to 6PM, to benefit Cambridge Community Television in sunny Central Square, Cambridge, MA. Enrolling in this excellent workshop will not only provide you with a solid foundation in Drupal site building and administration, it will also 100% sponsor the excellent social media programs operated at CCTV.

This workshop will be lead by trainer Sean Effel of Drupaltherapy, so if you've enjoyed those screencasts then this is your chance to spend a day with the same level of high quality instruction in a supportive learning environment.

This intensive all-day workshop will arm new and novice level Drupal users with a schooling in Drupal basics including installation, configuration, core functions, contributed modules, themeing, and a dose of Drupal stunt driving. This is high quality Drupal instruction in a price bracket that individuals, non-profits and small businesses can afford. Here is a sample of the curriculum we will cover.

Drupal 7 API is now slushed and frozen. Now is the time for Contrib modules to start upgrading to Drupal 7. The #D7CX movement wants to see as many contributed modules as possible be ready by the time Drupal 7.0 is released. Lets get our Boston maintained modules upgraded!. Even if you don't do module development, you an be helpful here by reviewing module issue queues, QA testing, and documentation writing. There is a job for everyone.

The place I just started coworking at, WorkBar, is having a free coworking day on October 2nd. Come on down with your laptop and your lunch, and work for free all day on their free WiFi! There's also free coffee, so SCORE!

Note: Unfortunately, I'll be heading to Western MA that day, so I won't be able to make it, but Evona (the office manager) is awesome, and there's plenty of cool independents working there all day - and tons of available desks. And did I mention free Wifi and coffee?
