Does anyone have interest, insight, or thoughts about starting an xml wysiwyg editor project for Drupal?

I'm interested in possibly authoring academic research (especially science) that is created and stored natively as XML and then transformed (through XSL and XSL-FO respectively) to HTML and PDF, as well as awesome formats like ePub.

I am looking at ways of making my wiki easier to use for non familiar visitors.

Does anyone know of wysiwyg plugin or editor that has the follwing functionality:

A user can highlight a bit of text, click a button and create a wiki link to a creation form.

I'm looking to integrate this with wiki-tools.

I would also like to limit who has access to this function.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was wondering if there is anyway to get the WYSIWYG editor to appear on the Maintenance page field. This is where you type the message that you want to appear when the site is in maintenance mode.

I can't seem to find a way to apply it to the field as it isn't a plain text or anything and yet you can type HTML tags into this. There must be other fields within configuration that would be useful to have this as well?

Issue: WYSIWYG editing panel does not show.
Before installing Ctools, CKEditor was working fine. I went around, and around after installing Ctools to see where the panel went. I need the rich text editor for the maintainer of the website, he doesn't know html, and would be very helpful for him to upload and edit text this way per article. Does anyone else know why this issue occurs.

Please an answer, or an alternative direction.

hello there

i'm a starter a drupal, and i'm getting used to it.

i got a question..
that is there any wysiwyg editors exist, that screen readers could work with them?
from my understanding, a wysiwyg editor is something that an user can easily use the mouse to drag and drop objects, make headings/lists, and the html code of it will pop out.

i have no experience with html, and i don't know how much hard it is.. or do i even have the time to learn it.

i have googled some.. and just found xStandard that could be accessible, but it seems that it is for drupal 6 only.

At SandCamp 2012, I attended Jen Lampton's excellent talk on WYSIWYG editors for Drupal. She's clearly looked at this topic deeply over several years and Drupal versions, and has considerable and valuable experience configuring, deploying and supporting WYSIWYG and related features like image handling.

After digesting the session I realized there were a few additional WYSIWYG features about which I'd like to hear Jen's thoughts.

I've installed WYSIWYG and CKEditor, and I'm pretty impressed at how well it functions, especially relative to other implementations in other CMSs and wikis!

That said, one hazard is lack of auto-save, which other platforms do have, in an effort to save users from network mishaps (or dying laptop batteries, etc).

So I was at least looking for an option to encourage more frequent manual saves, by showing a Save button, or better, a Save-and-continue button, within CKEditor's toolbar. Is there such a possibility currently?

I look at Media 1 year ago and now, but nothing has changed even (including version 2) with this to simple things.

You can build a spaceship with Drupal but we can't do simple things.

CMS or CMF is primarily a management articles. Insert a media in to content and beautiful design media content in artcle - is the main problem.

Hur får jag Panels/Panels everywhere att INTE ta bort alla html taggar som skapas i wysiwyg.

Arbetar med Drupal 7.8

Problembeskrivning: Panels tar bort alla h1,h2,h3-taggar samt p-taggar som skapas i noden av wysiwyg,(full html) och jag undrar hur jag bäst går tillväga för att dessa inte tas bort när panels Node_veiw är inkopplad?

Går det att få en panels-visning att inte skala bort taggar - eller måste man använda "Views" ( Det blir ju en himla massa inspunna div-ar då, och mer komplext)
