Meetups
Lunchtime - Salt Lake City
There is a meetup in downtown Salt Lake City on the 2nd Thursday of each month. An event is posted for each meetup a week or two in advance to determine topics and manage other plans.

We will be planning and organizing topics for our meetups here: Meetup Topics
An announcement for Drupal Users using Salesforce.com
I am proud to announce the availability of a new module for Drupal integration with Salesforce.com CRM users. I posted on our group page a while ago regarding a potential module that would integrate Salesforce's Lead Form into the Webform module that we've all grown to love. Well... I was able to get in contact with a developer from Ohio, who was excellent to work with, that did just that for us.

I will most likely be attending this, and I thought I would pass on the information to the group.

Drupal Statistics
Not everyone I know is on the Drupal development mailing list so I thought I'd pass along this interesting bit of research that webchick compiled. It's a number of Drupal statistics including number of active installations, most popular modules, number of Drupal downloads, etc.

Hi all. I'm new to the Drupal scene. I'm using Drupal for a community website as my master's project in citizen journalism. Does anyone know a good programmer familiar with Drupal in Logan or anywhere in northern Utah? Thanks.

Next Topic
As discussed in the Saturday meeting, I was going to set up a wiki page for topics. However, I remembered we had set one up before.
http://groups.drupal.org/node/9762
So, just a reminder for all. You can put your name in any given topic, and place new topics on that wiki page.
My two cents. If you are a leader for a topic, then set-up a time for your presentation. I believe if we have a topic and a time set, people will come. But, when we are relying on people to commit to a time for an unknown topic, it seems harder to get people interested.
Read moreDynamic Block
I'm hoping to get some help from the group on this. My last request was a little off the Drupal Subject, this one should do a little better.
I'm developing a site for an Applied Technology College that have a Jobs section where jobs will be posted and associated with each program. I'd then like each program to display a block with all of the jobs pertaining to that program. Any ideas? I thought this would be something very straight-forward, but it's not as easy as I thought.

And Kyle Mathews (kyle_mathews) wants to enable Memetracking in Drupal, for all your RDF and machine-learning needs.

Just wanted to let the group know that I launched my personal Drupal site last week. My main focus is to have a blog where I can share experiences with Drupal and anything else having to do with web development. My other focus is to be able to have a place for my clients (the few that I have) to login to submit feature requests or changes that need to be made on their sites. I'm using the case tracker module to track those, and am hoping that it will help keep requests from my clients stay more organized. OK, that's enough talking... here's the site:
Read moreUbercart Alternative
For our last meet-up that we were organizing I put an item on there to discuss a shopping cart alternative for Ubercart. Since then they released their first stable version of the software. It's called Magento, and it is an open source project similar to Drupal (obviously not as big as Drupal yet, though). This came up on my news feed today:

Library booked for March 29th
So I contacted SLC Public Library about reserving a room for Sat March 29th, and they don't have any openings till late in the afternoon. Apparently if you want to meet there you need to book pretty early. I think our options are:
- Meet another Saturday, perhaps April 12th, and reserve the library now.
- Meet somewhere else.
I know Andrew offered the conference room at DATC, up in Kaysville. Are people willing to drive north for that? It's only an hour from Provo. Or do we have any other offers on places to meet for a group of 10-15 people?

Since the poll only allows one option to be selected, I thought I'd just set up a wiki page for this discussion. Please add your name to the discussion topics you're interested in, or add new ones if they're not here. Also, if you're willing to lead the discussion please note that by your name.

I'm not really sure if this is a question to ask in this Group or not, but I'm hoping to be surprised here. I've noticed that a lot of the guys in our group are quite knowledgeable so I thought I'd give it a try.
We currently have a Linux set-up as our new web server once the new website launches in the next few months. In the root www folder (/root/srv/www/htdocs) I have multiple folders in there:

Support Question: How can I expose my drupal calendar (block) on a static html site?
Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me brainstorming with you but I figured:
1) this has proven to be a collection of bright Drupal heads.
2) i may actually get a response here ... no such luck in the Drupal forums.
Anyway, I'm looking for a way to expose the calendar block (from one site) as a block on a static HTML site.
I'm thinking I might have to write a module that periodically dumps the calendar HTML into a static file that can be included using a server-side include or javascript.
Any one else have a better idea?
Thanks,
Kevin
For those interested in e-learning stuff
I came across this today in my RSS reader:
http://elearning.psu.edu/projects
Talks about a few modules that they are getting ready to release in the next little while. Course Designer being one of them and Assignment Studio is another one. I didn't have a ton of time to look through the site but after watching a few of the screencasts it looks pretty promising.
Check it out...
