Meetups
Lunchtime - Salt Lake City
There is a meetup in downtown Salt Lake City on the 2nd Thursday of each month. An event is posted for each meetup a week or two in advance to determine topics and manage other plans.

DUG Meetings
I want to gather some information from the group about the DUG meetings. My hope is to see where we can improve and/or change to increase participation at each meeting.
Currently, we have the meeting the second Thursday evening of every month. If we changed the day of the week or the week we have the meeting, would you be more likely to attend? What days of the week work better? Would a weekend be better?

Drupal Camp Utah Venue
I'm still working on finding a location to hold our camp. The last place that was suggested was the Downtown Salt Lake Library. They do offer spaces for free, however, we apparently don't qualify. To host it there it's going to cost us about $250 for the day and we can't sell tickets or promote products and services there. If we pay more, then we can what ever we want. However, I wanted to do what I can to keep the event low cost or free, since that was the general feeling around the group.

Hello all!
Hope those of you who managed to get to Drupalcon had a great time. I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences at our next meeting.
I am looking for a way to send invitations to events when I add them to a calendar. I've created an "Event" content type that populates a calendar. It would be really helpful when adding an event if I could:
1. Select registered site members to send the invitation to, and
2. Enter email addresses in a field and have notification sent to these people as well.
Any ideas on how to make this happen in D7?
Thanks in advance!

I am not going to be available to host the Drupal meetup next Thursday during our normal time. I propose we skip March since Drupalcon is in just a couple of weeks and I know several people are going to it. I'm open to other ideas as well.

Time again for a DUG meetup in Salt Lake. We will be holding it at the Walker center (just like every month). Signs will be placed to direct you on how to get up to the conference room where we will be (usually by calling to have someone come let you in). If you are there at 7:00pm we usually wait for a few minutes for people to show up before we enter.

Hello all!
We are looking for some help in testing out a new website product. We've created an automated process where people can sign up for a trial website. After signup a site is created. Then, the user can log in and do all the stuff we love about Drupal from a custom "Dashboard".
What we are looking for is the usual:
- identifying any bugs in the normal use of the site
- improving user experience
- flow and ease of use
- and general feedback is always welcome
Acquia Drupal Webinar
Just thought I'd pass this along.
The Acquia Drupal Team is putting on a 1-hour webinar available for free for anyone. Below is the info. *Note, all the time info is in Eastern Time.
How do I get the most out of Drupal? How does it all work? What about this community thing I hear about?

So, this website (www.symbolicsilver.com) has been my latest project. I'm still tweaking things and if you have a second, I'd appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on it. Any bugs you see in your browser, or things that would look better if done differently. Let me know what browser and version you are using if you reply. Reply here, or email (symbolicsilver@gmail.com). Thanks so much!

All,
When meeting with a client who wants to build a new website, or update an existing one, do any of you use any kind of list or check-off sheet? What questions do you ask? I am meeting with our Director tomorrow to discuss creating interest-based sites for groups here at the University of Utah, and would appreciate any suggestions you have for creating a basic list of questions to ask, etc. Feel free to email me directly as well as post here, and thanks!

What date works best for a DrupalCamp UT Summer 2012?
Drupal Camp Utah 2012
I meant to bring the topic up at the meeting tonight.
It's time to start thinking about Drupal Camp Utah 2012. We need to get a date set and I wanted to get feed back from everyone to see your thoughts on having the event around the same time this year. Last year we had it the 3rd week of June. I'd also like to get the date of the event finalized in the next 2 weeks so we can start working on venues, sponsors, and guest speakers.

Yesterday Tyler was asking in IRC what we'd like to talk about this coming week. Since not everyone is on IRC I thought I'd bring it up here.
Is there something anyone wants to show off? Or anything anyone wants to learn about?

Greetings folks,
OpenSourcery, in partnership with Acquia, is hosting two Utah-based Drupal 7 workshops in November:
- Drupal 7 in Day (November 21)
- Site Building with Drupal 7 (November 21-22)
Either is is complete on its own, but they combine to make an excellent foundation for site builders and content managers. They're hands-on and suitable for complete newcomers to Drupal as well as experienced users of earlier versions looking to get familiar with Drupal 7.
The workshops will be held at:

October DUG Meetup - Call for Presenters
Time again for our monthly meetup. It will be held on the 11th floor of the Walker Center (Walker Center, 200 S. Main St., Salt Lake City, UT). Signs will be placed to direct you on how to get up to the conference room we will be in. You can park in the Walker Center parking garage (it will cost about $4) or at the Carl's Jr. (if you purchase something, but don't do that). If you ride TRAX you can get off at the Gallivan Center station (the Walker Center is about a block north of that station). Both the Sandy (blue) and West Valley (green) lines go to this station.
