Tasks not running

Hello,
First of all, i have to thank you for this awsom script that saved me a lot of time. I have an issue with the tasks, none of them are running. This happening for all sites and all plateforms and whatever the tasks i try to run (verification, cloning, upgrade etc) I am running the latest Barracuda and Octopus version. Is there a way to know why this is happening ?
Thanks

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS support timeline

I been testing beta versions of 12.04 LTS w/ PHP 5.3 and Nginx (both from same sources as BOA), and stability / performance have been very good thus far. Post-release (end of April), is there any timeline for when BOA may support Precise Pangolin?

Symlink to my modules dump not working

Hello,
I'm running my BOA deployment on amazon's ec2 and it's been an experience. It works but i've got my eyes on it constantly to make sure it works as it should.

We've got issues with bandwidth over here in Nigeria so i prefer to have a dump of the possible modules that i may need for different projects being hosted on the Octopus instances.

My dump is stored on the ec2 default user home folder and i would like to symlink it to the sites/all/modules/"my_contribs" link/folder. I created a symlink but it didn't take. My site didn't read the modules folder. I changed the permissions to 755, chown'd it to root but still no success.

Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error

CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection.

An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.

Thank you.

All the sites are running. A server reboot hasn't cleared the error.

I was in the process of installing a new platform and adding a new site to that platform when all the other sites started to redirect to install.php. Since I've had that error before, I verified every single site to clear that redirect. It's ok, there's only 5 or 6 sites.

initial login URL not working on an Octopus OA install

I installed Barracuda on my Linode running 10.04 64bit with no errors, and used the one-time login URL to create the admin password with no problems. Then installed Octopus and this one-time login worked flawlessly as well. I then created an OA site with the default "admin" client. The one-time login URL takes me to the normal OA login dialog, not the reset password dialog I expect to see. So, I try to log into OA with my admin user and password but it doesn't work. I tried creating a new client with a different email address and reset the password, same problem.

Domain Module issues

I'm having some issues with the D7 Domain module. Not necessarily specific to BOA (maybe also evident in just plain old vanilla Aegir).

Firstly, when I create a new site in Aegir, it needs to be created in a D7 platform that does not have the Domain Module installed. I then migrate this site to a different platform that does have the Domain Module.

Secondly, The Expire Module doesn't seem to play nice with the Domain Module:
- Fatal error: Call to undefined function db_fetch_array() in /data/disk/octopusname/static/platformname/sites/all/modules/expire/expire.domain.inc on line 15

Memcache or Redis for Drupal7 platforms? Or how to speed up registered users actions

Hi,

As i understand, D7 platforms have no built config for Redis & Memcached. Currenly 5.3 php has alredy memcached.so extension, so It is possible to somehow enable them (and not to ruin config, of course)?

Other related:

Also, had anyone luck with D7 and authcache? Is it worth to rebuild theme templates?

Entity cache - any benefit?...

As for anonymous users, everything just flies!

BOA 2.0.3

I was trying to piece together a road-map, and release date, for BOA 2.0.3 from the todo tag in the issues queue. Is it possible to share some up coming features and date for 2.0.3?

As always, I appreciate all the hard work and try and add value when I can.

Peace,
Michael Clendening

www extension creates database issue

I've imported a few sites into BOA without any problems, except for the last one (!) . I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a bug, this is why I'm posting the issue here.

Practically, I have followed the same steps for each site but the last site only works properly when not using the www extension. Adding "www" to the site's url returns a database error,

Barracuda without DNS

I am trying to install Barracuda on a local virtualbox VM.. The script is failing with the following error..

Barracuda [Sat Mar 24 08:30:20 GMT 2012] ==> EXIT on error due to invalid DNS setup.

Is there a way around having a proper DNS setup in order to setup a test system?

Thanks..

site down and redirect to http://www.install.php/

Yesterday, our BOA site was down for about 10 min ( 2012-03-20 17:43:53. as reported by Pingdom). During this time we tried to access the site and it was not showing up in the browser and after sometime we tried to reach the site it was redirected to:
http://www.install.php/

After about 10 min, the site was working normally again.

tail /var/log/php/php-fpm-error.log just shows 'rotate'. I guess the old logs were removed and stored elsewhere but I do not know where it is.

Finding the PHP error logs

Hi,

I am facing a WOS when I run a Drupal6 site with a "very unstable" module and would like to know what the error(s) are.
But I can't find anything in the Drupal log (watchdog) and in the /var/log/php, every log files only contain: "rotate"

ls -shl /var/log/php
total 20K
4.0K -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7 Mar 21 13:10 error_log_52
4.0K -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7 Mar 21 13:10 error_log_53
4.0K -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7 Mar 21 13:10 error_log_cli
4.0K -rw------- 1 root root 7 Mar 21 13:10 php-fpm-error.log
4.0K -rw------- 1 root root 7 Mar 21 13:10 php-fpm-slow.log

Cloning Sites / Clients

Hi,

Due to a difficult migration process, I have found myself cloning the same site over and over again.

Just to give you an example of the problem, if I clone the site , then migrate it to the new platform I get an Error 500 message. Now, if I clone the site , disable all modules , migrate the site , then enable the modules. No error message.

Is it possible to run non Drupal sites within/alongside a Barracuda install?

Is it possible to run non Drupal sites within/alongside a Barracuda install?

Use case:
I would like to setup an ad server for a couple of Drupal sites.

My current solution is to use OpenX Source and I'd like to avoid setting a specific server just for this application.

Coud I possibly create a specific folder for non Drupal sites, how would I point to it? Generally , is it possible and if yes, how would you go about it?

Aside from OpenX, ideal solution would be to have a Drupal ad server distribution, surprisingly I haven't found many Drupal ready solutions for serving ads.

Servers & Platforms

After successfully installing/running Barracuda & Octopus on a local environment, I'm wondering about the best way to handle several servers for various platforms.

I'm currently working on a site with a huge files folder ( around 12Gb ). In order to avoid having to copy that amount of files between versions, I use symlinks to an external files folder, for instance:

/data/disk/o1/static/files //files folder
/data/disk/o1/static/platforms/dev-platform-1/sites/example-site-v1/sites/ --->/data/disk/o1/static/files
