Hello,
We are planning the next Drupal SIG meeting for this Wednesday April 9 at 10:30am in Mann 102. I posted my notes from the prior meeting here:

If anyone would like to present on a topic, please let me know. It can be very informal, you could even just suggest a topic for discussion rather than presentation. In the above meeting minutes, there are suggestions for presentations people would like to see.
Here is the tentative agenda:

We realized at the Drupal Camp in December that there wasn't a basic "here is how you enter content into a Drupal website" session, which some people were hoping for. This session will go over the basics of how to log into a Drupal website, add and edit pages, upload images and documents, and some other basics. I'm basing this on the CALS website, so actual implementation may be different for your website. But this will give content contributors a basic idea of what to expect.
Date: Wednesday February 19 2014
Time: 10:30am - 11:30am

I went to the Drupal Camp in Portsmouth NH this past weekend, and will report back on the sessions that I went to. It was a well attended camp, and was well organized. The Sunday code sprint was more useful for networking than coding, but was good to see how one is organized.

Greetings!
It seems that there are a great many wonderful Drupalers working on Cornell projects at the moment - and many of us working on the same pieces, with occasional collaboration/communication between groups.
I was wondering if we could use the DO Group to bring some of those discussions and work here?
The Drupal community is one of the things I love most about working in Drupal - and it seems like it would be a real benefit to all of us to make use of it...
Any thoughts?
Lauren

Drupal in Education - New Website & Google+ Community
With the use of Drupal growing so rapidly in the Education field and with there being close to 80 people at the Drupacon Denver Education BOF, I think that it is time for us to unite and built a great community where we can all share ideas.
Again we are in the "very" beginning phases of building our community but would really like some input from as many people as possible.
Currently we have a website with just a form to collect information and a Google+ community.

Multiple sites sharing the same Drupal code base
I am working on two projects at Cornell that might benefit from sharing one Drupal code base. The obvious options include:
- Common Drupal code / shared database (using Domain Access)
- Common Drupal code / separate databases (using Multi-site)
My questions:
- Does anyone have a recommendation about which approach is easier to maintain?
- Does the second option with separate databases make it easier to develop the multiple sites on separate time schedules?
